Because everything it's covered on a layer of "It's a joke" that gives plausible deniability. Being genuine is terrifying to them because it makes them vulnerable to criticism.

@flipssakemate @judacris What I’ve been saying! At least let us work with the Miis we have. If I knew the demo was so short and so limiting after you finish it I wouldn’t have tried to go through it so quickly. Now I just get to…poke them a few times a day until I can get the full game
