on the horizon - an armada of AI bots adopting Ethereum's decentralized ledger for settling commerce - the quantum transition leaving $ETH as the only secure decentralized SoV - tradfi adopting stables & tokenizing & you're not buying $ETH at the most depressed valuation ever

It's been 5 years since $ETH didn't have a bull run. Wow.

2026 is another difficult macro year. While oil is going higher it is difficult for risk assets to outperform. Yet $ETH has already bottomed and is the best positioned crypto asset to shine once the macro is becoming more favorable.

@traiansk8 @RyanSAdams @0xDigitalOil Also would agree it's more favorable getting it passed without yield so the status is cemented in law and large institutions can feel comfortable adopting. Yield is not critical for $ETH, more so for $COIN & $CRCL

@RyanSAdams @0xDigitalOil This is wrong. Crypto needs clarity act so that stable coins can be regulated as with MiCA. Once they are regulated, comes the adoption of stable coins. So without clarity act there is no adoption. With clarity act there is adoption with no yield.

If the banks don't get the stablecoin yield blocker in the clarity act then the status quo wins. And the status quo is...exchanges are able to pass yield to customers directly. Further - crypto just got "the clarity act by way of regulator rulemaking" last week through the CFTC and SEC. So crypto feels less pressure. Therefore - don't the banks need the clarity act more than crypto? (assuming they get their yield blocker) Pressure to pass higher for bank lobby?

@checkmatexxxxxx what matters is how much you pay in transactions, not the absolute numbers

So I looked it up and this is what I got not sure if this is 100 percent accurate but right now with low usage Rollups today are paying Ethereum DA: $50k–$300k+/month Celestia DA: $1k–$15k/month So I mean with low usage if you are building on ETH if you are a new team looking at these numbers I would consider moving and building else where its a drastic difference and you save money especially in times like this you need every dollar

Ethereum blobs can absolutely get cheap long term. But not overnight. It will take years of upgrades to reach consistently low costs under real demand. Meanwhile Celestia is already optimized for cheap data availability today. That creates a window While Ethereum scales, Celestia has time to build network effects and become sticky. The real question isn’t “which is better” It’s whether Ethereum gets cheap fast enough.

@checkmatexxxxxx costs are so low right now builders do not even have to consider anything beyond Ethereum

Celestia isn’t waiting for Ethereum to get saturated. It’s building for cheap data now. Builders don’t wait for L1s to fill up. They choose based on cost + architecture. Not every app needs max security. You can still use Ethereum for settlement… without paying for it everywhere. Do you need the National Guard to protect a 7/11?

Even if oil keeps rising so will developed world debt which essentially means one thing: printing $ETH has historically responded extremely positive to liquidity combine this with already oversold levels & growing demand & you have the foundation for the next bull market

@checkmatexxxxxx first demand on Ethereum L1 would have to pick up, then on L2s and only then we would be looking into anything else. we are very far from that and in the mean time scaling both L1 & L2

There's a thing we can learn from 2026 & the oil trade: When the world needs oil badly nobody cares about gold & precious metals. You sell anything for oil. When demand picks up massively for Ethereum nobody will care about $BTC anymore. Everybody will be rushing to buy $ETH

🚨 JUST IN: Massive stablecoin migration underway — Ethereum leads with ~$2.3B inflows Meanwhile, Tron, Solana, Ripple, Avalanche all see net outflows Liquidity is choosing $ETH as home base

Software companies are pricing in the ascend of the AI economy which is massively deflationary as millions lose their jobs Yet deflation triggers printing & more liquidity benefits $ETH like no other asset Crypto is not pricing in the AI deflation spiral. Someone is wrong.

$ETH is selling off as it has done so often in the past if you have funds you may add spot if you are all in - remember you don't have to do any business if you don't want to - just sit on your hands and wait this out $ETH moves just as violent to the upside as to the downside

People bidding $BTC here are wrong It is collapsing under the debt loads that Saylor has built, the quantum security threat and the not sustainable issuance cap If you bid here, buy $ETH - it is the one crypto asset that will actually recover and dominate once this is over
Etc.@ec265

BTC leading the market is holding us back Now is the time to let ETH take the lead You can either call me delusional and continue to be disappointed, or we can try it and see where it goes Either it doesn’t work and we continue with this nonsense, or it works and we all win

There are so many sidelined waiting to buy $ETH at 2,400$ or lower misunderstanding that you can already buy $ETH at a discount at current prices based on the eroding purchasing power of the $USD, sky high precious metal prices & stocks at ATH I wouldn't be on that here

i know CT is not very big on longterm planning, but thankfully no one cares what CT thinks: Ethereum will be ready for quantum computing
Justin Drake@drakefjustin

Today marks an inflection in the Ethereum Foundation's long-term quantum strategy. We've formed a new Post Quantum (PQ) team, led by the brilliant Thomas Coratger (@tcoratger). Joining him is Emile, one of the world-class talents behind leanVM. leanVM is the cryptographic cornerstone of our entire post-quantum strategy. After years of quiet R&D, EF management has officially declared PQ security a top strategic priority. Our journey began in 2019, with the "Eth3.0 Quantum Security" presentation at StarkWare Sessions. Since 2024, PQ has been central to the @leanEthereum vision. The pace of PQ engineering breakthroughs since then has been nothing short of phenomenal. It's now 2026, timelines are accelerating. Time to go full PQ: → PQ ACD: Antonio Sanso (@asanso) kicks off a bi-weekly All Core Devs PQ transactions breakout call next month. These sessions focus on user-facing security, covering dedicated precompiles, account abstraction, and longer-term transaction signature aggregation with leanVM. → PQ foundations: Today we are announcing a $1M Poseidon Prize to harden the Poseidon hash function. We are betting big on hash-based cryptography to enjoy the strongest and leanest cryptographic foundations. Check out our other $1M PQ initiative, the Proximity Prize. → PQ devnets: Multi-client PQ consensus devnets are live! Shoutout to pioneers @zeamETH, @ReamLabs, @PierTwo_com, @geanclient, @ethlambda_lean, as well as established consensus teams Lighthouse, Grandine, and soon Prysm. This incredible teamwork is coordinated by @corcoranwill via weekly PQ interop calls. → PQ workshops: Building on last year's PQ workshop in Cambridge (see photo), the EF is hosting another 3-day PQ event in October. Top experts from around the world will convene. In addition, a PQ day is set for March 29 in Cannes just ahead of EthCC. → PQ FV and AI: Last week Alex Hicks (@alexanderlhicks) ran a specialised maths AI for 8 hours, at a $200 cost. It one-shotted a formal proof one of the hardest lemmas in the foundations of hash-based snarks. Mind-blowing. Applied cryptography will never be the same. → PQ roadmap: A comprehensive breakdown of the EF's proposed PQ strategy will be shared soon™ on pq[.]ethereum[.]org. The roadmap targets a full transition in coming years with zero loss of funds and zero downtime. Stay tuned :) → PQ education: The ZKPodcast (@zeroknowledgefm) is producing a 6-part video series on Ethereum's PQ strategy. EF Enterprise Acceleration is also preparing material for enterprises and nation-states. Finally, Ethereum is now represented on the PQ advisory board that Coinbase announced yesterday. Believe in something. Believe in PQ security.
