Fellow Kenyans, what did you do for nature on Mazingira Day? Today, I did my civic and gave back to nature by planting trees on mazingira day at upper kabete as part of GOKs #15BillionTrees climate campaign. Being at Wangari Maathai Institute felt like paying homage to the legendry environmental activist who inspired many of us to speak for the environment, and stand for what's right. However, it was disheartening to see all the 'environmentalists' who planted thousands of trees, being given water and soft drinks in single use plastic bottles with no system for collecting the bottles. 😥 I brought my own bottle and spoke to a few people about the STTA #bringyourownbottle campaign #sttaconsultingAfrica
