After the Eaton Fire, @SCE is charging some residents as much as $40,000 just to reconnect to the electric grid. There’s a better way. Why not let the community of Altadena cut the cord with SCE. Let’s help them build with rooftop solar and energy storage systems that can reduce the need for an expensive and dangerous grid while also helping them join one of the nearby municipal utilities, like Pasadena?   It would be cheaper, safer & would directly benefit fire survivors & their communities.  Which politicians & candidates for office are willing to stand up to Edison & make it happen?

My mom is cold. She wanted the heat turned on. I suggested her electric blanket for the sake of our PG&E bill. After she had it on she starts trying to argue it would be cheaper to use her regular blanket + the heater. Like, why are you yelling at me, who pays the PG&E bill? I know using more gas = a higher bill. 😭

@KevinKileyCA A very large portion of us in California are getting absolutely ripped off by PG&E and nobody will do anything about it.

At this moment, the price of gas in California is $4.63/gallon. This is by far the highest in the nation. It's 23 cents higher than Hawaii, an island state. It's also $1.65 higher than Maryland, a bluer state than California. Our state's energy policies are uniquely insane.

We need to stop letting these utilities run roughshod over working people by jacking up their electricity bills whenever they get a chance.

PG&E is a corrupt, failing monopoly ripping off its customers. It's one reason we have the highest electric bills after Hawaii. The other is Democrat Climate Mandates. As governor I will break up PG&E and rip up the climate dogma so we can cut your bills in half. CALIFORDABLE.
