WebAssembly is coming to React Native with native performance! 🔥🔥🔥
Robert Pasiński@rob_pasinski
Imagine if you could use any native library in both React Native & React Web in an instant, with great performance and even better DX 🚀 Soon, you won't need to imagine anymore, here at @callstackio we're cooking something big 👀 Coming soon™🤞

@grabbou I’m not a social-media / content creator; I’m a startup founder & this decision (CRDT-library-choice) is mission critical to our concept.
So if you need somebody external to code-review, copy-edit, or otherwise provide feedback before your announcement, do let me know.
Cheers!

@rob_pasinski @callstackio I tripped across a tweet suggesting that this one implied WASM on react-native… — Was that accurate? I’m struggling to find confirmation — and past WASM on RN projects seem stalled 2 years ago!

@PlayHearthstone I’m having an issue with this on iOS. Whenever I try to open the app it says I need to update it however when I go to the App Store there is no update it just says open. Would appreciate some info on this

We're hard at work on the new version of github.com/IanVS/prettier…, with simplified options, better defaults, fixes to comment handling, expanded vue support, and more.
I'd love for you to try out the latest `@next` prerelease and report any bugs/confusion.

Tweetbot has been around for over 10 years, we've always complied with the Twitter API rules.
If there's some existing rule that we need to comply with, we'd be happy to do so, if possible. But we do need to know what it is...
@TwitterDev, you know how to reach us.

Twitter is enforcing its long-standing API rules. That may result in some apps not working.

Are Mac users no longer an important demographic for Dropbox?

“In Android 13, about 21% of all new native code (C/C++/Rust) is in Rust. There are approximately 1.5 million total lines of Rust code.” security.googleblog.com/2022/12/memory…

@Jason Is that a contrarian view? I’m looking to do AR, and the current hardware (and software) for it just aren’t ready yet. If Apple can beat that, we’ll see a huge market pivot.

Sounds like a @badedgecases when the storm is so bad that it destroys your emergency warning siren.

@priva28_ You’re totally right!
It’s been a while since I’ve done a lot of Swift, and I forgot about the comma syntax for extra clauses on if-statements (when you have variable bindings).
English

@fbartho We only test underneath a view if it has user interaction enabled. So there’s no need to restore. Notice the last part of the if statement in checkBehind. “, view.userInteractionIsEnabled”
English

it really REALLY annoyed me how UIHostingController caught all touches, when the background was clear and there wasn’t any SwiftUI views there. so I made a quick package to fix it:
github.com/Priva28/Hostin…
all these views are tappable!
