@FlightPolish @Tilly_TeaCup I’ve just finished reading this. It’s a story of one Polish man’s incarceration into a Gulag in Russia at the start of the war, and his subsequent journey to be reconnected with the Polish Army. Got to say I learned a lot about the involvement of the Polish Army in WW11

I am not a close observer of the Royal Family but even I have been struck by the abuse and vitriol directed at Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex. This kind of sustained hate directed at one person can be very detrimental for their mental health & wellbeing and needs to stop.

@somersetlevel @chrissieA2 We have a dual rate. The overnight ‘cheap’ rate powers the underfloor heating, and all other consumption is at the ‘higher’…double, day rate. Both have gone up by in excess of 100%, together with the standing daily charge which has also doubled. Winter woolies on!☹️
