Look in the backroom, I need my scone!" (I go to the back room to check for a scone, although I knew we didn't have any.) Me: "I'm sorry, we just don't have any more lemon scones. Would you like anything else from the past fridge?"

At a street carnival near my house I overheard 2 young Black girls say, “Let’s ask her,” and they came over and asked if I had seen their mom. They described her and explained they had stopped to look at something, then turned around and she was gone. They asked to use my phone, and I handed it over. Shoutout to their mom for teaching them to memorize her phone number! She didn’t answer, so I offered to walk with them while we looked for her and waited for a call back. A few steps later, they spotted her and ran over. I loved that they felt safe enough to trust me. There were police officers all around, but those little girls saw another Black woman and knew exactly who to ask for help. They just warmed my heart, made my weekend! 🥹

Customer: "Don't you lie to me! I know there's pie! Where is it?!" Me: "Sir, there is no pie..." Customer: "F*** you, are you profiling me? Just because I'm African-American you won't sell me pie? You'll be hearing from my lawyer!" Me: *giving up*"...Okay sir, fine, you're right. Go downstairs, go out the door and walk across the street. That's where we sell the pie." Customer: "It's about time.."

I love when people post ALL of their business on social media and then have the audacity to tell someone to mind their own business. HONEY, we are on Season 3 Episode 2 of this mess. We're invested!

anyone notice weed giving reverse effects of when you first started smoking? First it made me more calm, social, motivated, energetic, empathetic, spiritual, confident and fearless now it’s the complete opposite except I feel those effects when I’m sober so it just ropes me
