@luxemiaa @ayojoestar there’s no need for a bartender to embarrass a customer like that in front of everyone. Even if tipping is expected, respect still matters on both sides. Calling someone out loudly just turns a simple situation into something uncomfortable and unnecessary.

One time my husband paid with a card and left no tip on that bill because he was pulling out cash from his wallet to tip and the bartender literally screamed “NO TIPPER! HE DIDNT TIP!” And pointed at him so the rest of the bar could see. My husband was like, uh.. I was going to leave you cash but f**k you, never mind. We never went back to that place.
Tips are TIPS, not a guarantee. I served for years and it sucks to not be tipped but I would never have pointed it out like that

"How are you" isn't a question,
It's a password
and I spent 2 decades typing the wrong one

What’s something you always thought was "just how humans work"... until you realized only NT people were doing it? Mine was small talk. Thought "how are you" was a real question we all had to answer honestly. NT people just say "good" and keep moving. That's... allowed??

One of the scariest memories from my childhood happened when my brother and I were playing hide and seek in our front yard.
I was around 8, and he was about 4.
He was supposed to be counting and looking for me, but after a while I realized he wasn’t even trying to find me anymore.
I peeked around the side of the house to see what he was doing.
He was standing near the front gate by the street.
At that exact moment, a car I didn’t recognize pulled up.
Two men got out and started walking toward him.
I remember watching them move closer and start talking to him, and immediately feeling that something wasn’t right.

A coworker once printed her resignation letter, walked to the printer, and found her manager's termination paperwork for her already sitting in the tray. Same day. Different fonts. Same outcome. They stood at the printer together for a moment and then both just walked away. HR sorted it out. Nobody ever talked about who got there first.
