@garito @AnthropicAI yeah `npm i -g @anthropic-ai/claude-code@2.1.79` pins it, then just skip `claude update`. two versions at once is a hack via different node prefixes or aliased binaries. not pretty but doable if you really need both running

Insulting @AnthropicAI 's claude code I've noticed that it refuses self-degradation (thanks to the woke view of the company) which introduces a refusal path in the inference. Hypothesis: can it propagate to other non related paths? Is this why it malfunctions constantly?
