I hate Fallout 4’s writing because destroying the Institute makes 0 sense when you could just control it. Railroad should have at least some morality debate about destroying the birth place of synths and Brotherhood should want their tech more than anything.

Finally, people are beginning to realize that Fallout 4 is even more fucking stupid than they already thought it was before. It makes no sense for any of the opposing factions to destroy the Institute when they could take it over. 1) Brotherhood They see the synths as abominations, sure. Shut synth production down and keep everything else. Surely it would be useful as a base if nothing else, but they would still have decades, if not centuries of research to take advantage of. Crop growth, weapons development, energy production, fucking teleportation, medicine etc. 2) Railroad Faction dedicated to helping and saving synths condemns them to extinction as the only place to create them is destroyed. Absurdly idiotic. 3) Minutemen Faction all about trying to unify the wasteland and helping the average person. Again, great base to have for this purpose, the teleporter would be absurdly useful in sending people to areas where they're needed in an instant and again, crops, technology, medicine, etc. Once again, this issue comes down to incompetent writing and the laziness of Bethesda. Rather than giving any thought to how this would work, we get a catchall ending for every group that opposes the Institute where they just blow it up like retarded cavemen instead of anything that actually makes sense.
