When you're in a meeting with more than one other person it's become professional courtesy to keep your microphone muted when not speaking. This way the background noise from your mic doesn't distract or prevent everyone from listening to the speaker.

@Julian88Tex Sorry about the issue... we have had a few reports of the issue and we're working on a fix.😬 Does unplugging and plugging the button back in work as well? Also, if you haven't, please report a bug from inside the app. It helps us debug.

@getmutesync Hi, been having issues where the button works but the color does not light up unless I click the restart app button, and sometimes open and close the app a few times. This began after updating to Mac OS Ventura 13.0. Any known issue I can follow?

Loving the new @getmutesync button. So much easier to mute/mic yaself on @zoom, now you can choose your own colors! I like red for mic is hot and blue means it’s not. Interpreters, check this out!

@peteroutshoorn We did push out an update to our Chrome Extension and it requires you to grant it the correct permission. It should have popped up a warning but it's easy to accidentally dismiss it.

@petergamesvii @breezeinwood @arappeport In professional settings it's become common that non-speakers keep their microphone on mute. Otherwise background noise from everyone's mic makes it difficult to hear the speaker. Not applicable for one-on-one conversation

@breezeinwood @arappeport didn't know mute was default behavior. been on 5 zoom call and only once was told to turn off mic beforehand cause there was like 100 people in the call

First Teams, now Discord! 🤩 We've added full app support for Discord for Mac and Discord for Windows. (We already had Discord via browser support) Alpha users get the update today. Beta users soon.

@getmutesync Oh. Does the button have an API I can use to control it manually at least? I impulse-bought 2 mutesyncs when I first discovered the kickstarter. They have been delivered earlier this month and are just collecting dust since my main work laptop runs on Linux.
