Sliding (and jumping) are situational, not a standard engagement tool: enter cover quickly, reposition, break enemy tracking, reduce hitboxes when traversing small gaps. In my opinion, the changes aim to reinforce this design intent, not to remove skill expression. #Battlefield6

My journey to Battlefield would surprise many. I’m 50 so I’ve played both COD and Battlefield since they began. BUT I was a COD main. I joined a clan that thrived on a server they rented and ran. Then COD stopped that in 2019. The clan disbanded. Couldn’t play together. +

@SgtDangerCow Really? 🤪 With live services they have now the flexibility to avoid being tied to a fixed timeline. They decide what to release, when to release it and when to stop. It prioritizes engagement and monetization over delivering large and meaningful content.

What I don’t understand is why after BF3,4 and 1 we have regressed in content delivery so much.

@SgtDangerCow K/D isn’t a skill rating 😁 It’s more like a receipt: play smart, position well, hit your shots, use the right stuff and it tends to show up there anyway. At least in the middle tier.

Said it so many times. A K/D is absolutely worthless as a metric of ability (apart from specific game modes). It is affected (and massaged) by so many things it’s almost incredulous people put any stock in it.
