After over a month of no new games, Sakura Wars comes out and it was a truly magnificent and emotional game. Between the characters and story, it delivered right up till the end. Would definitely recommend for anybody else in a gaming dry spell right now 😊

I think I’ve reached a point in my life where the older I get, games that get announced without a release date I stop caring about. There’s been about 10 or more games I think I’ve seen and been excited for in the last year that still aren’t out yet, and no dates been confirmed.

@Kuriositykills I’m genuinely enjoying games from 20+ years ago being remastered, but I agree that innovation and creativity have taken a massive hit in the gaming industry. It’s all nostalgia or a “new coat of paint” that’s being made now. I think developers are too afraid to take risks.

Hot take: I’m genuinely tired of just remastered game after remastered game…. I don’t want to keep having to buy the same game every three years just to play the same modes and maps with minimal graphics and terrain changes. It feels like it’s just a cheap way to profit with zero creativity.

That’s how I’ve felt the last few years. Specifically in games. You’d see something posted by a developer and it’s something that could actually be implemented or created that people would play and pay for, but then it’s fake. They know what we want, they just don’t.

@HolyOrderSeifer @runebee I can actually see what you’re trying to say. It might be a platform issue, because I played on Switch 2 and hardly noticed the flashes either. Sure the screen “lit” up when taking pictures, but not to the degree of a flash bang I’ve seen people mention. Even cutscenes were fine.

I really want to like Fatal Frame 2 Remake. But the constant white flashes (in cutscenes and from the camera obscura) gives me such bad eye strain. It genuinely affects my enjoyment. And I love the Fatal Frame series :/ It never felt this bad before.

Yeah we need false information like this not to spread thank you very much. People are entitled to spend money how and where we want. There’s many reasons why people may not be streaming for long periods of time, and if we as a community want to keep supporting them, we should.

Twitch reveals that they are introducing a new feature where viewers will automatically get unsubscribed from a streamer if they do not stream for a month. This is due to streamers like Kai Cenat making $8 million from paid subscribers despite not streaming for 6 months.

Nobody is ignorant on the fact that this is a demo, it’s the fact that the game not only says you can keep playing, but then proceeds to lock you from doing anything. Despite not being able to level up, unlock things, or get money. Seeing Mii’s interact should be a bare minimum.

People completely missing the point the article is trying to say. If you progress past getting a third Mii and get the clothings shop, you can’t do anything at all anymore, the game locks you out. If you stop right before that, Mii’s still have fun and interact with each other.

Her character was always meant to be that femme fetale spy persona. So you’re actually wrong and defending something just because people criticize the way she portrayed a character poorly. Which isn’t even completely on her btw. The people in charge of voice direction failed her.

lily gao’s voice works well with ada because she’s not playing her like a seductress. ada is detached, private, and always 3 steps ahead. the calm, colder delivery fits waayyy better than the “mysterious sexy spy” voice people expected to hear in re4rm

@nuhre_ That’s literally what games like Kingdom of Amalur were supposed to be. People know what MMO stands for and what they’re supposed to be. These games had the intentions of being an MMO, and so the structure and formula are all there, but then decided against it.

There’s no such thing as a single-player MMO. MMOs are inherently designed around other people. It’s literally in the name. That interaction is what makes you forget you’ve been killing the same mob for an hour, because you’re too busy telling your guildmate they’re a fucking idiot. Take the community away, and you’re just stuck grinding alone with nothing to distract you from how repetitive it actually is.

I think the only game I’ve seen come even close to Bethesda’s formula, is both Kingdom Come games. Nothing else has unfortunately come close, not even Bethesda themselves with 76 or Starfield. I wanted Outer Worlds to have the formula, but they opted not to which is crazy.

@Meelsie143 @Sar_Gasmic Dang I hadn’t even thought of the nemisis system for Watch Dogs Legion, that would be pretty sick actually. Even without playing as whoever, just having a never ending series of enemies throughout the city, including the ones that become your favorite and essentially archnemesis.

@Meelsie143 @Sar_Gasmic That’s how I feel actually. I love the game so much, the potential it had is there but fell flat in a lot of places including story. I loved you could play as anyone, but the dialogue and their personalities could’ve been better. Would definitely like seeing that reworked.
