Literally the most ignorant take I’ve ever seen on Twitter

the church has learned. why were females not allowed to serve the alter? because they were deemed unclean. why were they declared unclean? because they have periods(in the old days they would leak that blood onto the alter) also remember that when they were disallowed women were no more than property. a woman was the dirt on the boots.
English

are we not to bring those that are searching for Good to God in whatever attire they are in? do we really have to spend 500$ on clothing to be in the grace of God? what of the working person that has just come from work to receive God in the service? have you read the missile of the new preacher that came in dirty and dressed as a bum? are we not to accept all into the hands of God? i would welcome that person and help them. what they are wearing may be the best they own.

ON ALTAR GIRLS
I don't really fancy the idea of altar girls, but it doesn't matter. The Church permits it, and that's what matters.
Historically, altar serving has always had a close connection to the priesthood. For many priests today, their first experience of serving the Church was as altar servers. Some of my friends who served at the altar when we were young are priests today.
That is why I think altar serving is best reserved for boys. It naturally creates a path that can inspire and nurture priestly vocations. In my opinion, that is one of the strongest reasons for maintaining an all-male altar service.
This is not because women are less important in the Church. Far from it. Women contribute immensely to the life of the Church in countless ways. For instance, they can serve as lectors, catechists, choir members, sacristans, church wardens, and many other roles.
That said, the Church permits female altar servers. The Church has spoken on the matter, and individual Catholics do not have the authority to overturn that decision simply because they prefer a different practice.
So while my personal preference is for an all-boys altar service, I accept the Church's discipline and submit my judgment to the Church. Catholics are free to have preferences, but we are not free to place our preferences above the Church.

i think i replied to this question yesterday, however...........
it is my belief that because a baby is not baptized they will still go to heaven.
you receive baptism for the remission of sin. a baby thanks to Jesus erasing the original sin is born without sin.
i am of the thought that you need to be able to accept baptism. a baby cant. what i think would be better is. to pray to God thru Jesus to protect this baby and to anoint the baby with holy oil. and save baptism till the age of reason.
remember, baptism is for the remission of sin. and on the cross Jesus took away the original sin.
English

@sparklingxnacho @ThyPaddyDaddy a cross signifies Jesus, so therefore not a false idol. so no
English

@glennms1 @ThyPaddyDaddy if i wear a cross for protection, qm i an idolator?
English

why was pork declared "unclean"? could it be that pork was never processed properly or cooked right, if at all? leading to problems like triconosis and other problems. now that pork is mostly processed properly and given shots to prevent the problems, it should be labeled a "clean" meat.
why are women declared unclean and therefore unable to become priests???? because they have periods.
you have to remember the times that the laws were written.
English

@PatriarchPius it is a mortal sin. as you are committing murder. simple
English

well i guess it all depends on if you believe that God knows all babies before they are conceived. or if it is that an ivf baby will have no soul due to a mans sperm and a woman's egg being brought together outside the womb.
does it matter how the 2 are brought together? it is still part of a man with part of a woman to create the baby.
when and where is the soul carried into the child?
or is there thought that due to Gods plan, IVF intercedes on His plan by creating that which he did not want created?
English

@TurdFergusonsso @Knight_OfChrist @Simply_Tessy but what you are calling mortal sins(racism and stuff) are not even sins in the truest sense. they are byproducts of true sins. and come on income inequality as a sin? really? that is socialist thinking. but i have a feeling that i can not make you see the point i was making.
English

@glennms1 @Knight_OfChrist @Simply_Tessy Look, I get why you think that. But a mortal sin is a mortal sin. He isnt downgrading it to venial. He’s simply stating that society is worse off because of income inequality, injustices like racism, etc. Other things too obviously
English

@ChudThomist how can it be a mortal sin? as baptism is for the remission of sins, and a baby is born(thanks to Jesus) sin free.
instead to find Gods protection for the child, pray for God (thru Jesus) to protect the child and anoint them with the holy oil.
English

Mortal sin to not have your kids be baptized btw.
AJ 🪖🔫@c0ntrabane
@lettuce_isgood “i ❤️ catholicism but i would never ever ever baptize an infant”
English

Prots say this but how do they cope with God insisting that we NEED to devour His Flesh in the Gospels?
Steven L Anderson@sanderson1611
@RedbullRacist Well, then, you're wrong because young people there were very receptive to the Gospel.
English

@TurdFergusonsso @Knight_OfChrist @Simply_Tessy what he is saying is that sex is less a mortal sin than all the rest
English

@glennms1 @Knight_OfChrist @Simply_Tessy All you people are stupid. He didn’t lower anything. Mortal sin is still mortal sin. But there’s more than just one mortal sin. He’s trying to say there are other issues equally as important as sins of the flesh. But society certainly makes sins of the flesh the most important
English

@TurdFergusonsso @Knight_OfChrist @Simply_Tessy a thought. sexual morality in man controls all other aspects of morality in society.
think about it.
a man or a woman will, under the depravity of sex, commit moral sins of other matters. they will lie, steal, cheat, kill. and all the time will justify it.
English

@glennms1 @Knight_OfChrist @Simply_Tessy Yes, lack of equality and freedom do impact society more than sins involving sexuality
English

actually, they go to Heaven. remember the scriptures? I have known you before you were conceived. and they carry none of the original sin, because Jesus died to take that sin away.
now instead of baptism, I would think it would be better if a baby was simply prayed over for Jesus's protection.
English

They go to hell. (limbo)
Le Teutonique 🇻🇦@inconnu0connu
Do unbaptized children go to hell? A🧵: (I have to remind that Limbo is a part of Hell)
English

@Knight_OfChrist @TurdFergusonsso @Simply_Tessy Pope Leo: “We tend to think...that the only issue of morality is sexual....I believe there are much greater, more important issues, such as justice, equality, freedom of men and women, freedom of religion, that would all take priority before that" issue.
English

Just because someone posted it doesn't make it true.
Catholic doctrine doesn't change based on a single statement or news headline.
The Church's teaching rests firmly on Sacred Scripture and Apostolic Tradition. If something can't be traced back to both, it will never become official doctrine. The Church has always taught that homosexual acts are contrary to God's design for sexuality (reserved for man and woman in marriage), while calling us to treat every person with dignity and respect. That hasn't changed.
As for pride flags, If you saw them flying, it was almost certainly not an official Catholic parish, or if it was, it was done against Church guidance. Catholic bishops have repeatedly directed parishes to remove them, as they symbolize ideologies that conflict with Church teaching on marriage and sexuality. The cross of Christ is the true symbol of love and inclusion in a Catholic church.
It's important to distinguish between genuine pastoral care (welcoming people as children of God) and changing timeless moral truths. The Church welcomes everyone, but calls all of us to conversion and holiness.
English

@Xtopher_Uzo most will learn nothing, as the word that given is not meant for most but a few to understand.
I have been told that you can only understand that which is in the bible, is what you are meant to understand. and this understanding may be different from someone elses understanding.
English

I will answer thus. if a baby is baptised, it has not accepted that baptism. this is why i am against this practice. the worse part is when a person of the age of reason, receives baptism and accepts it with full knowledge and then walks away from Christ.
a baby should not be baptized, instead it should be prayed over, ask Jesus to protect them and anointed with oil.
English

I read today in a post on here that the pope made a statement that would lead to the papacy accepting the alternate lifestyle. in the statement he lowered sexual morality to less than the morality of being pc. and doing so in a political way. basically saying sexual morality is not as important as freedom or other statehood things.
and yes i did see a few catholic churches fly either the gay pride flag, or the equality flag.
English

When has the Catholic Church bowed to the LGBT agenda?
Does it fly the pride flags?
Does it permit gay marriage?
Does it teach that men can become women or vice versa?
There is a profound difference between extending Christ’s love and compassion to the sinner, always with the hope of repentance and conversion, and falsely accepting or celebrating sin itself.
The Catholic Church does not, and never will, approve of homosexuality.
