@NUCLRGOLF It’s a very long road ahead to become remotely competent at playing golf. Decide early if you’re going to be “just want to have a good time out there” golfer or “I want to try to be the best golfer I can possibly be” golfer and be realistic with expectations for your choice.

@NUCLRGOLF @FOS They’ll never stop it. Some will get screwed, others will slip through. Every year people set up right outside the gates selling tickets—how do they acquire so many to resell in the first place? What’s next? Crack down on merch resellers?

🚨🎟️❌ #CRACKING DOWN — According to a report from @FOS, ‘hundreds’ of ticket holders who attended this years Masters tournament were pulled aside + questioned by Augusta reps over the origin of their tickets, where they were purchased, etc with many passes cancelled for the week as the tournament cracked down on resellers.

Walked around Valhalla this morning a couple weeks away from @PGAChampionship. Course is beautiful, in great shape. So many cool holes with risk/reward decisions. Rough is STURDY and gonna keep growing. You know how I know? Because they were fertilizing it when I was walking up 18.

@going4ace @AaronFlener When I was there for the Ryder Cup I hung out behind seven green. You can see approach shots and putting on seven, tee shots on five and tee shots on eight.

@AaronFlener I’ll be there Monday for practice rounds. Any thoughts on best holes for a spectator?

@acaseofthegolf1 I don’t under why people even try. There’s already pictures of the course from every angle imaginable available on the internet that’s likely way higher quality than your shitty remote controlled collar camera can produce.

Dear future masters patrons. You cannot outsmart the Green Coats. I saw a guy get busted for a camera that was in his collar and operated with a remote. He was taking pics of course and the police quietly led him into a bush and now his families badges they have prob held for 45 yrs are… (Security guard filled us in on the details)

@Instagram why are these two folks who liked posts of mine a week ago, who I don’t follow and they don’t follow me a “priority” for me in notifications? Makes no sense.

Late in our coverage today I thought @LukeDonald delivered the goods talking about making your practice sessions hard in order to become the best… so it got me thinkin’ on how one could hear that and apply that to their own practice. Here is what I did…🧵 For instance, if you are looking to improve on hitting more fairways try creating your own 40 yard fairway on the range. I would take 10 golf balls and each time changing targets and imagining either trouble on the left or right alternating. The most important thing is always have a goal in mind… if I was able to hit my imaginary fairway 7/10 times I felt like I was above tour average and I could leave the range confident about hitting my targets. Working on getting up and down more? I loved to play an easy, medium, hard 9 hole challenge and tried to finish no worse than +3. If my score was higher than +3 I would start over until I completed my target score. In practice rounds on Tour I would also play this same up/down game to simulate actual hole locations that we would play. Would give me confidence during the tournament that I felt like I have already done this before. The putting practice green is another great place to win your way off the green.. instead of just hitting putts try playing a short, medium, long 9 hole game. Short (4-6 ft) medium (10-20 ft) long (30 ft >). My target score would be -4 or better and if I hit my number I would leave the green feeling confident I was ready to play Tournament golf. I have @jamessieckmann to thank for many of the games I learned to play but the point is to challenge yourself to compete. You’ll find you become more reactive and athletic vs technical and over-practicing.

This ball seems to clearly move. Why does he appear to address it initially with a wedge when it seems extremely unlikely he’s going to use that club to actually hit the golf ball? #golf #pgatour

The fact that OSU came to meet with Caleb Downs & his family is very telling! Could mean that his decision has been made & that the Buckeyes are tryna change his mind! I think Caleb Downs will be allowed to enroll now granted the situation if he's a Dawg! Stay tuned

@Mike_kim714 Increased my max ball speed from 159 to 176 in the last 3-4 years, on course averaging 170-172. Swing improved too over that time. I find going nearly all out works best for me. Less overthinking, more athletic and reactionary. Less time for my brain to think and get in the way.

I’ve talked a decent amount about the benefits of speed training but many amateurs are worried that they’re going to hit it all over the place. However, I’ve actually seen many times it does the opposite. You learn to use the body better, turn better, release it better. It’s not like you’re swinging it at 130mph. You’re going from 80 to 90 or 90 to 100. I promise you, most will be able to figure it out at that speed. There’s nothing like hitting the ball farther than before. It makes golf that much more enjoyable.
