Plenty of LIV golf talk the last few days. What’s the most likely outcome? If you can give a response supported by some thinking as to what plays out.

At first, LIV Golf wanted the best players, Major winners, and name recognition. Today—anyone who can travel a lot. He said it’s not for everyone. 2. Is the game better with LIV Golf? Today—NO. It divided the game and ruined the careers of Phil, Rahm, Smith, and others whose games became dramatically worse. LIV Golf didn’t grow the game; it catered to the richest. It attracted fans for concerts and partying, not golf. It created a negative view in the US of the @PIF_en. If it actually injected money into the golf world, where is it? 3. LIV Golf is out of money by the end of this season. As stated before, PIF could invoke Force Majeure and stop the cash flow immediately. To survive another year, LIV Golf would have to raise about 1.2 billion dollars since they have a burn rate of about 100 million per month. As O’Neil hinted, it would have to dramatically alter its business plan and move to a significantly lower-cost model to survive and attract any foreign investors. It is in horrible position having to raise money in 5 months to survive. Tech Companies spend years raising funds with actually good products and business models. LIV doesn’t have either. In its current state, LIV Golf is over. A transformation to survive would look like a very bad mini-tour of golf traveling the world with no fans because no money to pay for headliners for concerts.

He can play majors if he wants too. The days of him playing 20 times a year are probably gone yeah, which is the case for almost all 55 year old golfers. We’ve been blessed it’s lasted this long quite frankly, he was the gift that kept on giving.
