Marco Rubio says the US State Department will no longer accept Congresswoman Ilhan Omar's sponsorship of foreign refugees after more than a dozen of the Minnesota fraudsters were found to be on her list.
"She allows people in who can pay a nice fee," said Rubio, "But she doesn't vet them in any way."
Rubio says allowing people in just because they appear to have money is how we ended up with the Twin Towers on the streets of Lower Manhattan.

Trump's eyewash for the base on H-1B and other working visas is being shown up for the BS that it is. There are no reductions in the number of H-1B workers in the U.S. - none. Or in other visa categories. The applications have dropped but are still 4x the number of slots. And of course the 'delays' by consulates doing the interviews was only temporary.

This is case in point that Senate leadership can do whatever they want. If they wanted to pass the SAVE Act, they could. They choose not to.

Senate leadership sent notice of the DHS bill at 12:55am. Then a voice vote was held at 2:19am. The notice said, “with a substitute amendment” and gave no description of the substitute. The legislative language of the substitute was not sent around to GOP Senate staff. (Idk about Dems.) If you’re a staffer watching your email at that hour (some were!) you had to request the language of the bill. Track down leadership staff to find out how quickly this is moving. Try to read and understand it quickly. Understand how it changed from the original. Get your boss on the phone and explain it. Talk to other staffers to figure out if there’s a coalition to block it — they don’t know — their boss is trying to decide what to do too. Whoops, your one hour is up, the bill is passing and nothing you can do. Purposefully sneaky. They can do this kind of maneuver to not fund immigration enforcement. They would never dream of doing it for your priorities.

The way a filibuster is supposed to work: the minority stands on the floor and talks.
The majority has to stay on standby for a roll call vote, even at 2 or 3 in the morning. It's painful, and it's painful for a reason. It forces both sides to come together.
But the federal Senate got rid of all that because they're lazy. Now they just hide.

This is the reason the GOP won't abolish the filibuster IMO.
It protects GOP Senators from having to cast "No" votes that will make the MAGA base of the GOP unhappy. As long as the Dems can stop things from getting voted on that the GOP Senator doesn't support, he's saved from having to take a position on the subject.
The Senate has 10+ GOP members who do not support a significant portion of the MAGA agenda.
SAVE Act is a great example -- most would support a simple Voter ID law. But one estimate I heard is that maybe fewer than 40 are solid votes on the SAVE ACT as a whole. But Dems filibustering makes it unncessary for them to act.

Perhaps you need to go out to rural parts of Texas and see what medicine is like. Or just see how long it takes for a regular person to get an appointment with a PCP these days This persons tweets are so wrong and problematic.
