As Majority Leader, he is the leader of the Senate GOP Caucus, not MAGA. The GOP Caucus elected him 29-23. The runner-up was John Cornyn. Does that make you any happier? Rick Scott was in the first round of voting and got only 13 of 53 votes -- 40 GOP Senators wanted someone else. Thune was elected by the caucus and it is only the caucus that is going to get rid of him -- not MAGA. Much like the complaints against Susan Collins -- if you have an alternative Majority Leader who can get 27 votes from his/her colleagues, then name him/her. But saying nothing more than "Thune Must Go" without answer "Who replaces him" is just performative gripping with no meaningful alternative.
