Dear Twitter Family!! I wanted to share with you all an update as my Dad passed away on 5/12. He passed losing his longtime battle with cancer. Because he was as tough as they get he survived long enough to get a photo with his new grandchild one week before he left us

Today was a sad day to say goodbye to @grumpyolman21 . I wish I didn’t have too.

I now have been in hospice care for 2 weeks after spending a week in Cleveland Clinic. Sadly for this ol guy.The cancer has invaded my liver. not a positive sign and have ended all further treatment. I am at peace. I love my Lord. It is finished. May God save this fragile nation

another short Grumpster update. I have reached the Rubicorn. No going back. I can no longer take care of myself. Gonna either get skilled in home help (which is not offered by my Blue Cross) or go into a nursing home. (temp I hope) If my cancer spreads-stage 3-4 cancer does that-or the Keytruda works. But I can't continue to fall down. MY condo is about 50 ADA compliant. My son wants me to move in with him! DUMB tdea, His wife is opposed to homes for he aged. She has 3 kids and 1 on he way. OUT OF THE QUESTION! (We have never agreed on anything) Just need help til the cancer treatments cure or kill me. It is a choice we all must eventually make. Appreciate the prayers. @grumpyolman21 It might be time to consider the move to your son's home. He wouldn't offer if he didn't think it would work - IMHO. Prayers for you and your family. No easy decisions. (My sister & her hubby are both in the hospital now and we are making those choices. SMH)

@grumpyolman21 Grumpy, I pray for you every night and have been since you shared your diagnosis with us. My mom got non-hodgkin's lymphoma at 62 yrs old. My aunt and I took turns staying at my mom's so that she would never be alone. No one will care for you like your family will. Let them do it

@grumpyolman21 You should give it a go. You may find it’s not that bad living with your son. It’s a temporary thing till you find something that works better. Hopefully the wife cooks well 😬
