I sat under a tree and I imagined my shame, I imagined it dispersing into thousands of droplets, each droplet falling softly onto a leaf of the tree, the tree absorbs it, all of it, uses it as fuel, turns it into oxygen, something good and useful and kind

I’ll eat my words if I’m wrong, but spirit has informed me again and again, that there is an energy wave coming our way that will shatter the current matrix. It will not allow the natural laws to be broken any longer, and corruption will be brought to light.

Can anyone counsel me on how to approach my brother about not circumcising his baby next month? I’m very anti circumcision becuase I think an adult should be making that choice for themselves and not a baby having its body part cut off but idk how to approach it with him

They attacked wool. We got polyester. Half a million tonnes of microplastic fibres enter the ocean from synthetic clothing annually. Microplastics are now in human blood, lung tissue, and placentas. Wool biodegrades in months. Polyester persists for centuries. They attacked leather. We got PVC. PVC production releases dioxins. The vegan leather peels within two years. Both require petroleum. Leather is a byproduct of food production. It lasts decades. It biodegrades. The ethical alternative requires an oil well. They attacked butter. We got margarine. Trans fat disease for a generation. Now on its third formulation. Butter contains vitamins A, D, E, and K2. Margarine contains seed oils and an ingredients list. The butter never changed. The butter never needed to. They attacked beef. We got plant-based burgers. Pea protein extracted with hexane. Seed oils. Nineteen other ingredients. A supply chain across multiple continents. Soy driving deforestation in Brazil at a scale that dwarfs British cattle farming. Beef on British marginal land grows on hills that cannot grow crops. Sequesters carbon. Fertilises without a factory. Complete protein. Every fat-soluble vitamin. No dead zone. In every case: the traditional animal product was nutritionally superior, environmentally lighter, and cheaper to produce. In every case: the ethical replacement was industrially complex, petrochemically dependent, and worse for the body using it. The ethics were the marketing.

I saw a pigeon die on the sidewalk. That’s five years of neutral luck. Wouldn’t you know it, later that day, I saw someone from a distance who I think went to my high school

@JOKAQARMY1 Didn’t Lyme disease come from ticks they bio engineered in the first place? So now they’re writing their wrong with the same method.?

Hello I'm Kevin and I started teaching myself to draw on June 9, 2025 as a way to get off screens, develop a new skill & maybe help with depression panic and anxiety. It's shocking how good you can get at things with a bit of daily effort, highly recommend giving a try!

@iambri_97 I saw ads for some (surely AI) app that summarized non fiction books into 1000 word articles or something and although I get it, I don’t fucking GET it.

why is there actually, legitimately, discourse around reading speed right now “8 hours to read a book is slow” “you should be able to read a book in 3-5 hours” bro we are in a literacy CRISIS, i do not care how fast or slow you read a book, just pick one up and read it

@MikeBales @gullskept I have an Aunt who is 12 years older than me. We used to go out dancing and having fun all the time and then she hit late 50’s and was like “I’m too tired” all the time. Well, now that I’m almost 60, I realize I owe her an apology for not really believing her.

I offer my sincere apologies to all old people. Now that I am old, it turns out that having my morning coffee, eating my vegetables, taking naps during the day, not driving at night, not having any company after dark, not leaving my house at night, and being in bed by 9pm is awesome. You guys were right. I was wrong.
