#anipoke Ash’s voice sure sounded weird in the early TPCi dub episodes. Sure I was initially disappointed with the voice changes, but the voices do get better and better as time went on.

No he shouldn't have stayed a Turtwig. No he didn't need to keep his speedy battle style. HE JUST NEEDED TO WIN MORE. How hard is it to be a tank in a battle? Literally he's set up to learn how to change his style and they do NOTHING. He does the Energy Ball trick only one time!

I was around 13, going on 14, when Battle Frontier premiered on Cartoon Network, and 20 years later, the voice cast change never really bothered me or affected my enjoyment. Even at the time, all I thought was, "Oh, the voices are different," and just rolled with it.
