The least interesting part of Kanto is the Main characters. The stuff around them is way more interesting, since its usually some crackhead plot. But the plot could happen to anyone and it'd still be interesting. W/o the weird plots, you got Johto. Which was boring as sin.

What's your unpopular Pokemon Anime opinion? I'll go first. Power Scaling to a degree is a necessary part of storytelling that Pokemon ignores to its detriment. Champions, E4, Legendary, and other strong trainers hold no weight because their power is whatever the plot demands

Leon's Rillaboom really outclassed it the entire time. Like Rillaboom basically soloing every fight didn't make Leon's team look super strong. It just made Rillaboom look monstrous. Got better showings from Alain and Ash's Charizards compared to this guy.

Despite what people want, it shouldn't have become Garchomp. At most Gabite. In reality, it shouldn't have been caught. It wasn't needed. It was so late in the game that it was a waste of time. Just keep Gliscor and have Ash ACTUALLY TRAIN him instead of shipping him off.

OVERATED AS FUCK. Never has a gym battle of its own, only accomplishment is evolving against Moltres WHO WHOOPED HIM BEFORE & AFTERWARDS. Only victory in a GRASS GYM was against a Jumpluff who only Cotton Guarded Twice. Carried by XY Animation.

Not actually the ACE of Hoenn. It was a combined effort of him, Corphish, and Swellow holding it down on that team. His most talked about feat was in DP. But in AG? Nothing that screams ACE of the team. He's only counted as an ACE cause he's fully evolved and a starter

By definition, he's a better trainer than Ash in DP. His methods got results. Chimchar couldn't hang, but the rest did. Ash beat him with a busted Infernape & a Gliscor trained by someone else. His relationship with his team was bad, but I'm talkin being an actual TRAINER

Overrated for how Useless it actually is. Was Caught. Never used in any real fights. Won a fighting tournament. Left. I think it barely counts as one of Ash's Pokemon. Larvitar stuck around longer, made more of an impact, and wasn't ever even caught.

It only had personality as a Caterpie. It's only achievement is being the 1st Pokemon caught by Ash. The only reason its departure episode is sad is cause you're sad for Ash, not cause losing Butterfree is an actual blow to the team's strength or dynamic.

Pikachu doesn't really have a notable Personality. Like I think you can name certain generic traits, but nothing that really stands out consistently. He's kind of blandly nice at the core of it. His reactions to any situation are sort of basic. No actual sauce in his emotions.

He’s fallen so far from grace that the one Pokémon who did trust him now hates him. At least J and Lysandre get release through death, Spinel’s stuck in jail, likely immortal due to constant Laquium exposure, and has to live through guilt.
