@RealDanYohannes Great job. That’s an awesome accomplishment. Seeing her versus Arsenal would be nice.

@johnvarlas My thing is I just got down Apple for MLS, Peacock for Premier League, and Paramount for everything else. And Now there are new apps that I have never heard of showing more soccer games. So much for cutting the chord. 😂

When all of you guys say “train like the pros” you always show me clips of the team training. Show me the clips of the players working for an hour after training on one specific skill. Thats what you all miss because you’ve actually never been around pros.

First Block of 31k I have been on twitter ten years proud to be connected to remarkable people who engage openly & respectfully. Thank you. Today I blocked one guy that refused six requests not to engage on my feed. Not due to ideas but to constant negativity and insults.

Players, do you stay back and practice by yourself? ✅ Are you often the 1st one to training and help the coach set up for practice?✅ Are you the 1st one to celebrate with a teammate who scores? ✅ Do you pick up trash at your bench even if it’s not yours? ✅ Do you greet your coaches before practice and say good bye after practice? ✅ Are you there for your teammate when they are down? ✅ Character matters. You should be checking ✅ every box. #CSTruth

@ImCollegeSoccer Is there data that someone can obtain on the # of ECNL players that commit to any college versus the total number of players that are actually in/on ECNL clubs? Curious if it’s worth to pay all of that money if only a small % make it to college. make it GA, USLA, MLS NXT, etc…

⚽️ ECNL vs GA ⚽️ By now there is no argument. ECNL is a better platform than GA. Since the ECNL platform is stronger, their ECNL-RL platform is starting to out perform the GA. You’re starting to see a lot of ECNL-RL teams with a lot more college commitments than GA teams. ECNL has won, and their RL platform is starting to take a second place seat above GA in the race for college soccer commitments. If you’re a GA club, beg whoever you need to and try to enter your club in the ECNL or get left behind. Thank you @susa_academy for the stats. @ECNLgirls @GAcademyLeague #CSTruth

@3four3 Thanks for the latest episode on the Certification, etc. I had to rethink things. I don’t have the money to chase down certifications but I know what I am talking about.

Technical Window ✏️ Many will refer to a “technical window” to suggest that players should acquire technical skills as a priority during the period between 8-12. However, the research does not suggest that children aged 8–12 are incapable of cognitive skill development. In fact, much of the evidence indicates the opposite: players in this age range are very capable of developing perceptual–cognitive skills such as scanning, anticipation, and decision-making when the training environment supports it. Research in sport expertise shows that perceptual–cognitive abilities begin developing well before adolescence. Researchers such as Mark Williams have demonstrated that youth players can develop: ▪️visual search behaviors (scanning) ▪️anticipation of opponents’ actions ▪️pattern recognition ▪️decision-making speed Consider a cognitive-technical paradigm to better serve our young athletes. And train accordingly. #TOVO #intelligentfootball

Now posted at the @DailyMemphian Houston coach David Wolff felt Friday’s match between his team and CBHS was even better than their first meeting three weeks ago. The result was the same though; a win for the unbeaten Brothers. dailymemphian.com/section/sports…

The England fans booed Ben White when he made his first international appearance in four years. How does he respond? He scores his first ever England goal from a corner. Ben White. What a boy.

There’s a misunderstanding in youth sport that quietly drives poor decisions. Many assume the goal is winning, but long term development doesn’t work like that. What actually matters is meaningful competition. ⇢ If the level is too easy, children coast. ⇢ If it’s too hard, confidence collapses. ⇢ In both cases, learning slows. The real driver of progress sits in the middle, competitive games where children can compete, succeed, fail, and respond. That’s where growth happens, resilience is built and where motivation survives. The aim isn’t dominance, it’s engagement. A child who feels part of the contest stays invested, but a child who is constantly outmatched or never challenged checks out. So the question isn’t: “Did we win?” It’s: “Was the challenge right?” If the answer is yes, development follows.
