I've been told by other small business owners to check out @WaveHQ for accounting software and @GustoHQ for payroll. I'm a loyal customer, but I also need to be a smart businesswoman if I'm going to keep our little bookstore open for the community.

At a time when small businesses are fighting to stay open and relevant, when our margins are dwindling due to increased minimum wages and various tax requirements, it's not the time to cut resources and raise prices. Thank goodness there are alternatives now.

@QuickBooks used to be the gold standard for small business accounting; however, the customer experience has devolved rapidly recently, good luck finding answers, there are no longer customer service phone numbers (only sales), and the product price has increased.
