How did Ireland produce one of the most feared guerrilla armies in the world to fight against one group who had the police and authorities treat a majority as second class citizens, only to then abjectly surrender, without a fight, against another, weaker group doing the same?

🚨 Manchester United are monitoring Juventus midfielder Teun Koopmeiners ahead of a potential summer move, with initial contact already made with his representatives. The Dutch international has been on United’s radar since 2024, and the club are now exploring whether a deal could be possible in the upcoming window. Juventus are understood to value the 29-year-old at around €30 million. United are keen to add experience to their midfield and view Koopmeiners as a strong fit, particularly appreciating his technical quality and composure on the ball. [@tuttosport] #mufc

Our veterans served with honour, they deserve to be treated with the same. Last week Party Leader Jon Burrows MLA and Westminster reps Robin Swann MP, Lord Elliott and Lord Empey met with Armed Forces Minister Al Carns MP and Veterans Minister Louise Sandher-Jones MP. Concerns were raised about the NI Troubles Bill and the need for protections for veterans who acted lawfully, as well as the support and services available to those who have served and are currently serving in our Armed Forces. The Ulster Unionist Party remains committed to standing up for those who have stood up for us.

If we come 3rd, from 15th last year, does it show how much we’ve improved, how shit Amorim was or how poor the PL is this year?

Honoured to have been appointed as the UK's Trade Envoy to the Republic of Korea. The role is unpaid and voluntary. I look forward to working with ministers, officials and partners in both countries to deepen the bilateral relationship and deliver more UK jobs and growth.

War is raging across the world sending shockwaves that hit the living standards of our constituents. Yet the Tories have us spending 11 hours in the HoC debating process and minutae that does nothing to reflect the priorities of the British people in these times of crisis.

Hannah Spencer is a former plumber. She qualified as a plasterer while campaigning. She won a Labour stronghold in Manchester. She goes to Westminster and is immediately shocked by the drinking culture that Labour MPs defend as normal. Labour MPs call her comments "clickbait farming." The Greens are polling at 17% - ahead of Labour on 16%. Is the Green Party becoming the party of the working class?

Writing on Paul Doherty (SDLP) resignation, and the Bobby Sands statue. "The use of their images on commemorative dinner plates, fridge magnets, and tea towels was not exactly in good taste.
