@legsidelizzy FWIW, for people who actually like and care about cricket- you are a must read and a superb advocate for cricket generally, men and women. Well played.
@hickunderrated@ShippersUnbound On the contrary, it is the duty of a private secretary to a minister to make a record of all of the minister’s meetings.
At every stage of this process Thornberry seems most of all irate when there are notes or minutes of key decisions. This has been common since Blair's day
@hickunderrated@ShippersUnbound But unlike ministers, most of us do not have personal private secretaries whose job is to minute the decisions we take,
@DavidDPaxton I think this is the key point. One of my teachers at school was Richard Nerurkar, coached by Bruce Tulloh, training for the Barcelona Olympics. We worked out back then that it was around 17 secs per 100 metres. This, whilst amazing, isn’t that amazing.
Funny how arbitrary markers work. Like how scoring 99 in Cricket is annoying but 100 is magnificent. And so with breaking the two hour marathon. I get it. It’s amazing. And I like landmark achievements like that even if arbitrary. But…
@FullFact@DeborahMeaden Too late though. All the gullible fools that follow the Tories and Reform have already seen it and believed it. They will be spreading hate and division all
Over social media as a result.

We're grateful to the Express for correcting Ms McVey's article after contact from Full Fact.

@hickunderrated@Davolaar@thisisanfield Missing the point entirely here. It’s not about the amount of the increase. The bigger picture is that over time these increases become a regular thing, becoming normal and expected. If allowed to reach that point, it becomes a huge problem.
@Davolaar@thisisanfield My point is: it’s a pretty small increase. If there are so many “fans” that don’t want to sacrifice the price of a coffee, three quid, a week, then let them give their tickets to people who will pay.
