Had a ridiculous amount of fun building this black hole visual (inspired by @Interstellar movie, one of my all time faves). The goal was to get as close as I could to the real physics, while still making it run in a browser without turning the GPU into soup. Link is in my bio :)

Depends on the model and the workload. The code base of my project is massive, the app itself is complex that only Opus 4.5 (back then the best model) could actually reason about. The bigger the code base the more tokens you burn. Extra usage will accumulate. As I said, too expensive for “serious” work!

@hoomanask @cursor_ai What the fuck were you doing... I am on the $200 plan, using it 8-10 hours a day and I have never reached the limits of it

I'm gonna say it: As it stands today, @cursor_ai is the best agentic coding tool out there. No jumping between terminal and editor, nice UI and you don't have to switch the tool if there's a new model. change my mind.

What are the chances OpenAI reduces Codex usage limits in May?

Do you understand how cool this is? On my desk is a DGX Spark running a Hermes agent powered by Qwen 3.6 It runs 24/7/365 doing tasks for me. Doesn't matter if the internet goes out. I have super intelligence running for me at all times Next step I want to get a Tesla solar roof so I'm dependent on NOBODY to run my intelligence. Even if they cut off my power I'll keep going. This is the future. Sovereign intelligence.

@AlexFinn What does it do exactly? Especially when internet is out. Curious to know!

We will ship again this week. Codex has achieved escape velocity and will keep improving rapidly.

Also, @neiltyson if this ever crosses your feed, please grade the physics gently. I am but a humble web developer asking spacetime to compile. link is in my bio 😅

Also learned that realistic Doppler beaming makes the disk way more asymmetric than the movie version. Apparently physics does not care about art direction.

The next generation of AI products won't ask for your API key. They'll just run. What are you building with local models?

Still real limitations: long context is harder locally, real-time video is rough, battery and thermal on mobile is a work in progress. Not magic. But the direction is clear and the pace is fast.

Something changed this year with AI. Not the benchmarks. Where the models actually run. A thread on local AI and why the next wave of software won't need your API key. 🧵
