I've built dozens of businesses. If I lost it all tomorrow and had to rebuild it from scratch without much cash or talent, here's exactly what I'd do: 1. Start selling before you build Your biggest advantage starting out is speed. If you can move from idea to launch in 24 hours while your competitor is scheduling a planning meeting for next quarter, you win. One of our academy members literally posted a Facebook rant about his local trash company and dropped a pre-sell link in the comments. He hit $13k MRR before owning a single truck or license. 2. Pick an industry where the odds are stacked in your favor Those aren't the ones everybody's bragging about. • Information businesses have a 29% survival rate after 10 years. • Manufacturing and agriculture? 49%. There's actually an inverse relationship between the age of the owner and your odds of making money. The older the owner, the more likely that business stays solvent when you buy it. Which brings me to... 3. Look for the shortest path to ownership inside it Right now, that path is the Boomer exit. 41% of all small businesses are owned by people aged 62 or older. Most of them are near or at retirement and have no one to sell to. Which means thousands of businesses are about to go up for grabs in the next 10 years. Get your hands on one of them and scale the s**t out of it. 4. Buy businesses that pay you whether the economy is up or down The ones I'd target look something like this: • Same owner since 1987 • Stable revenue for the last 5+ years • 10-15 employees • No marketing • Old website Adding tech to a business run by a 70 year old is easier than running the 1,000th social media app on the market. 5. Sell to the rich The best customers to sell to are the ones with money. If I'm starting a lawn care business, I'm not building a $99 mowing package for the masses. I'm selling a $10k commercial package for high-end clients who want a better service. What I’d focus on to sell to affluent buyers: • Scarcity: Limited availability, limited access • Privacy: Things others can't get into or know about • Exclusivity: The club with a real barrier to entry • Convenience: Their time has a dollar value and they'd rather pay than wait • Status: Put their name on it and they'll write a bigger check Anchor every offer to one of these 5. And don’t discount! 6. Build an audience while running the biz The last thing you want is being dependent on paid ads to reach your customers. Customer acquisition costs are up 3-5x since 2014 (and only going up from here). Paying for ads is renting someone else's audience by the month. How I'd build my own: • Newsletter → owned audience, no algorithm that decides who sees your posts • YouTube → highest ROI of any social platform right now • Social media accounts → post organic content for free and use the best performing ones as ads Much easier to run a business when you don't need to pay to reach your customers. 7. Wire AI into the back-end from day one I'd automate every repetitive touchpoint that doesn't need a human... • SEO • Scheduling • Customer intake • Lead qualification • Follow-up sequences So the business runs without me in the routine work. And the humans stay where the magic actually needs to happen: sales, customer service, and hiring. - tl;dr > Pick the unsexy business in the right industry > Run it lean > Sell to customers who can pay > With distribution you own > And AI doing the repetitive work If you do these things, 2026 will be your richest year yet.

O destino tem dessas coisas que nos deixam sem palavras. Desde ontem, quando soube da morte tragicamente absurda dessa moça, não consigo parar de pensar no mistério que é a vida e a morte. Um rapaz, o Higor William, estava na fila para o salto de *rope jumping*. Ele quase não conseguiu ir porque se atrasou para chegar e, por causa disso, a Maria Eduarda acabou passando na frente dele. O atraso do Higor, a pressa da Eduarda. Dá a sensação de que existe uma hora certa, um relógio invisível marcando o nosso último segundo, como se tudo já estivesse escrito. Não era a hora dele; infelizmente, era a dela. Coincidência ou destino? O que vocês pensam sobre isso?

Existe um termo na psicologia social chamado "Bystander Effect" e ele é muito bem representado nesse vídeo. É basicamente uma difusão de responsabilidade: quanto maior o número de testemunhas, menor é a chance de alguém prestar socorro. → Os supervisores estão vendo. → Os jumpers estão vendo. → Várias pessoas vendo e filmando. → A própria garota que se arriscou. NENHUMA DELAS ENXERGANDO O QUE ESTAVA ACONTECENDO. Até que ela fosse jogada. Quando certas pessoas falam que você PRECISA ser (pelo menos um pouco) xenofóbico, é para não deixar idiotas de QI -83 te jogarem de um penhasco.
