@chiragbarjatya Just a matter of time. Your friend is a bit early. Like most people eat in the restaurants now without "caring" about the cast of the chef or the server... People will stop worrying about things like cast etc when there's no other option left or when it's socially acceptable

One of my friends was working on an elder care nursing startup. In the hope that elder care in India will eventually grow, as kids are studying/working away from home and there is no structured system of elder care service providers. You won’t believe why he couldn’t scale. You won’t. Whatever you are guessing right now is wrong. These oldies who are literally on their deathbed care too much about the caste of the nursing staff. They are so adamant about not allowing certain castes into their home/kitchen. I couldn’t believe haha. I asked him he should start masking names, but the problem is these people talk a lot and eventually reveal the caste and it creates trouble later on.

@realEstateTrent $500k/year… I don’t understand the point of crazy work hours and not having the time to enjoy what you make.

Not sure who needs to hear this but… Not every business has to be some mission-driven endeavor to change the world. You can start a business to pay your bills and take care of your family. That’s the tweet.

@vascoabm No… you’re not. Instead just spend a bit more on ads yourself regularly. You’ll figure things out in way less than $50k

had a call with a SaaS ads agency min. requirements: - $10k/mo budget - $6.5k/mo retainer (negotiable) - 2/3 months before ROI so that's ~$50k we have to invest to maybe see results in 3 months maybe this works for some people but for us that never really ran ads (less than 1k/mo) going from 0 to $50k investment is hard to justify am I thinking about this wrong?

Major cheat code for life: Become brutally honest with yourself. About your habits. Your effort. Your excuses. Your blind spots. Self-honesty is uncomfortable, but it'll save you years of wasted time. You can’t fix what you keep lying about.

Unfortunate to say, but renting is not for the Indian market. After analyzing the pattern of Furlenco, Zoomcar, Drivezy, Ola, Uber, Nestaway, Rentomojo. Most of them struggled or are still struggling. Not because the ideas were weak, but because daily behavior never aligned with the model. Most Indians don’t like wearing clothes used by someone else. Not because it’s cheap. It’s a deep-rooted mindset. Ownership feels personal. Sharing feels like a compromise. India doesn’t transact only on convenience. It transacts on pride, emotion, and social perception. Renting breaks that equation. You don’t build attachment with something that must be returned. When a product is sold as a money-saving option, aspiration drops instantly. People don’t show it off. They tolerate it. Luxury follows the opposite rule. If it can’t be owned, it loses its charm. Borrowed luxury rarely feels like success. That’s why fashion rental keeps hitting the same ceiling. The use case stays occasional, not habitual. And businesses built on occasional behavior don’t compound.
Kunal Shah@kunalb11

Future of fashion in India maybe quick rent versus quick commerce.
