I was responsible for the structural analysis of the wing (determining how many layers of carbon fiber we need for the spar and skin)

For our senior design project in college we had to redesign an airplane wing. Switch the material from aluminum to carbon fiber, make it 9ft long instead of the original 6ft, and it had to have a hinge that folds the wing up for parking in tight spaces like aircraft carriers.
