Most of those women...who are now in their late 70s...were victims of child marriage They didn’t even get the opportunity to study How were they supposed to build a career???

I often see Indian couples in their late 70s. Highly educated well to do husband (Doctor, engineer, Govt officer) and often good looking even in 70s. While wife is barely educated/illiterate with traces of dehat still visible. Without arrange marriage all those women would’ve just lived in Dehat. Arranged marriage single handedly changed fortunes of many Dehati/untalented women atleast in last century.

@Cottoncandyjm10 Men anyway has to work it's their primary responsibility to bring money to house. They don't have to breastfeed kids at home. They don't have to cook for infants. But women leave all household chores, infants and aging parents for what? A meaningless career.

It's not a new phenomenon and it worked so far due to joint family. Now there is no joint family. Kids are raised by nannies. If both parents are away from home for 8-12 hours how kids are getting raised. How about infants? It's a big problem today. What is stopping you to take care of kids at home? Ask your husband to earn enough for the family.

If you don't have short term memory loss. Such incidents have happened in past. And thanks to IPL governing authority for addressing such incidents gracefully. Otherwise, it would have become a norm today. Similarly, this incident should also not become a norm. And after demerit point, it's a clear message to the players to behave especially infront of a 16 yo.
