Ground reality is different. So there is one extended relative of mine whose daughter is short in height (below 5 feet), and they were struggling to find a groom for her. Eventually they found one. Not only that, but the bride's parents gave 25 lakh in cash, 1 kg gold, 10 kg silver, and all the extra things. They even gave gold sets to the entire member of the groom's family because the girl was short in height. If you feel like India is getting progressive, everyone is accepting their own body, but on ground level this is still not true. People still get judged on their height, colour, face, weight, eyes, nose, voice and everything; if you aren't good enough, you need to compensate in some other way.

@Shivani06Sharma @Dhimahi11 Same logic applies for women too. Its an insult for a man to walk beside a dwarf lady. Amitabh kids are lucky enough, unfortunately genes doesn't always prefer man for height. So, choosing a tall lady the only option left. We don't want a nation of dwarfs.

A girl with equal height to boy also looks taller than him when standing together due to slim body. My sister is 5'6 and finding hard to get a groom due to this

Even you might smell unpleasant to someone, but people rarely say it directly. It’s also hard to notice your own odor because you get used to it. Yes, if we want our future generations to be tall with good genes. We need to filter out short woman. Today, the problem is everybody wants to get married. Marriage is about reproduction. And if you can't provide good genes to future generations then better don't marry. Ancient India was careful about this and that's why more than 30% man or woman used to chose the path of celibacy. One of the reason of celibacy was being unfit for marriage. Marriage requires mentally and physically fit couples. There are lot of criteria checked before marriage just to avoid any genetic issue. Not marrying in same caste is one of them.

Whichever part we don't use, eventually it become useless after sometime. You can still achieve greatness by being short.
