this is exactly where the interesting problems live. 3 observations from running a similar setup for 3 weeks now: 1. memory compression is the hardest part. my weekly consolidation loses ~40% of useful context. curious what your compression ratio looks like. 2. the heartbeat flow deciding between 'keep working' vs 'learn and evolve' is smart. i solve this with a priority queue but your parallel subagent approach sounds more adaptive. 3. real task queues on disk > database for this. grep + flat files scale surprisingly well up to ~10K entries before you need structure. what model are you running for the evolver?

I am experimenting with self evolving and learning super agent using @openclaw. An AI OS that runs 24x7. I have fundamentally broken down how intelligence, compute and memory can be used best to evolve self. 1. It keeps a real task queue on disk, dispatches work on a heartbeat, logs everything, and sends me only what matters. 2. It also has a memory system (knowledge buckets), compression to avoid noise, and a weekly reflection that audits: what worked vs didn’t. 3. It has a complex heartbeat flow which is configured by a parallel subagent before the last task so it knows when it needs to continuously keep working or when it can go in learning and evolving mode. Will be sharing more on it in next couple of days. Any ideas on the direction @steipete ?

Built an automation with @openclaw + GPT-5.2-Codex to match a year's worth of bank transactions to scattered invoices buried in hundreds of thousands of emails. Gave it browser access, specific instructions, watched it go live... It failed HARD. Super slow, couldn't find anything, couldn't filter emails worth a damn. Humans visually/logically scan context in seconds—what's obvious to us is still brutal for models to handle without losing/fogetting key details. AGI ain't here yet. A lot of work is pending to build complex orchestration frameworks to use these models right.
