“Rockefeller would focus in on the highest priority. When he gets into the oil refining business it has no barriers to entry. It costs $1000 to start a refinery and only requires a few people to run it. And one thing he notices is that transportation is the largest expense. It costs more to ship a barrel of oil, than to refine it. So if transportation is your highest priority that means the location of your refinery is key.

The site that he chose was genius. He selected a location that was next to both the railroad and on the banks of a river. Why? Shipping by water was 50% cheaper than shipping by rail.  If something is your top priority you should spend the majority of your time thinking about how to develop an edge there.” —From episode 405 “How Rockefeller Worked”

AI chatbot therapy is growing fast. But it’s also facing pushback — including in Latin America — over mental health risks and privacy. When you share personal thoughts with AI, what happens to them? I asked my chatbot. 🎬 Produced with my friend and creative partner @iqblanco

10. The working class’s loyalty becomes their exploitation Boxer, the hardworking cart horse whose mottos are “I will work harder” and “Napoleon is always right,” collapsed from overwork. Instead of retirement, Napoleon sells him to a glue factory for whiskey money while telling the animals he died in a hospital.

This clip by Ezra Klein for the New York Times Opinion Desk is well worth 7 minutes of your time, because it challenges your thinking regardless of which side of the fence you sit on. My position has always has been and remains, that this story may be like crack cocaine to those who can’t live a day without outrage, but to many who have been the victims of such abuse, they are being forced to relive it every day for nothing but political point scoring and social voyeurism. This is going to go on and on, because people are making money from it while victims of abuse retreat into their nightmares and nobody gives a damn. It sickens me as the father of a daughter who has lived this nightmare. 🎥 TikTok - vm.tiktok.com/ZNdmYFdwb/

We need a champion for those who have been attacked, smeared, and taken for granted by an authoritarian regime. Leo Martinez has the right experience to represent #VA11 in Congress and carry the torch forward for everyone who calls Virginia home.

As someone who has lived through authoritarianism, this brings bad memories. It’s time to speak up and denounce this abuse of power by Trump and his cronies. @AlexPadilla4CA is a friend, and a fighter. Your voice won’t be silenced by this coward attack. We’ve got your back.
