Yesterday, news broke that U.S. DOJ has initiated an investigation into Governor Newsom and the First Partner. The Trump Administration’s continued efforts to weaponize the criminal justice system to target the President’s political opponents are shameful. It erodes faith in the rule of law. It sows fear and distrust. It is divisive, unethical, and morally wrong. We must demand more from our government and those entrusted to lead it.
