In the last week ICE agents have shot & killed two people—following the same violent pattern as the murders of Renee Good & Alex Pretti. After this latest wave of brutality, @RepRobertGarcia & I are demanding info about how DHS’s policies may have led to these tragic killings.

Funding the Major Richard Star Act cannot come at the cost of other veterans’ earned benefits—as Republicans are proposing. Veterans are speaking out about the importance of passing the Major Richard Star Act without depriving fellow veterans of their disability benefits.

Blanche ducked & dodged when I questioned him about killing an investigation into the possible pay-to-play commutation of David Gentile. The US Attorney General must put justice first, not serve as Trump’s mob consigliere.

The Trump admin is reportedly in cahoots with the Iranian gov't to send asylum seekers back to face likely torture, imprisonment, & possibly death. Blanche denied this policy & made clear he will turn a blind eye to anything politically inconvenient for the President.

Our Russia Sanctions Bill is the product of lengthy & difficult bipartisan work, & now has broad support in the Senate & from the White House. As Ukraine turns the tide on the battlefield, our bill would be hugely impactful in stopping Russia’s murderous slaughter.
