Last year, after seeing a lot of exhortation by extremists (of various hues) to cut down on meat intake, I made it my resolution for 2023 to eat animal protein at every meal. Friends, I have achieved it. Having just eaten the most sublime meal, I can confirm that all a man really needs for happiness is beef, potato, and, at a push, Yorkshire pudding, horseradish sauce, gravy, and a good red wine.
