I've been to Bali twice, and both times it was one of the worse experiences of my life... - Flew in alone, early 20s, business class = Immediately taken to private room and strip searched, BOTH times... Including when I had a govt stamped invitation to speak - Cobble stone roads and poor infrastructure on a hectic island with gojek bikes (literally, getting air) flying past - Corrupt police who have routinely covered up tourist murders and fail to report the extensive thefts to stop tourism shrinkage - EVERY restaurant/cafe you go to there will be people taking pictures of their food, and that is the LEAST of the influencer BS behaviour that is EVERYWHERE - Wasn't a massive fan of the food, especially vs Thai/Vietnamese/Japanese/Chinese ๐Ÿ˜… Iโ€™m not saying Bali canโ€™t be good, if youโ€™ve got deep local connections, stay in the right pockets, and avoid the main crowds entirely, but most people will never experience that... Theyโ€™re consuming a curated export of it.

I am in Bali now for 2 weeks โ€ฆ. And Iโ€™m too old for this place. The crowd is easy to spot. Yoga mats. Linen bags. Tattoos. Matcha to go. Scooters. No helmet. No shirt. Itโ€™s almost a UNIFORM/ BRAND of the consciously awakened nomad, spiritually aligned, recently escaped from the 9โ€“5 pressure of the West. Three months in Bali. Sometimes more. Living well on prices theyโ€™d complain about back home. Sitting in cafรฉs, MacBooks open, talking about healing, spirituality, the next cacao ceremony. And how much they LOVE this island. Sure you do. You love your photos. The aesthetic. The affordable โ€œhealthy lifestyleโ€โ€ฆ. bowls, matcha, sunlight. But DO YOU actually love Bali? Because loving a place isnโ€™t just consuming whatโ€™s beautiful. Itโ€™s taking responsibility for what isnโ€™t. And the other Bali exists tooโ€ฆ. trash in the streets, sick street dogs, stray cats, the parts that donโ€™t fit your feed. They donโ€™t disappear just because you crop them out. So hereโ€™s a thought: Skip one smoothie. One. And donate that money to the people actually doing the work hereโ€ฆ cleaning up what your version of Bali ignores. Or at least BE HONEST. You donโ€™t love Bali. You love the version of it that looks good on your social media feed.

This piece from @GrogsGamut is a clear articulation of how our gas policy is failing ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บ As global conflict pushes energy prices higher, Australians are paying more while gas export revenues surge and returns to ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บ lag. That outcome is a result of poor design. A 25% tax on gas export revenue would fix that. It seems everyone wants this except the gas companies and major party politicians. theguardian.com/business/grogoโ€ฆ

A Sydney tech entrepreneur just designed a custom mRNA cancer vaccine for his dying rescue dog using ChatGPT. The tumor shrank 75%. Scientists are speechless. โ†’ Rosie: 8-year-old rescue dog, terminal mast cell cancer โ†’ Chemo slowed it. Couldn't stop it. โ†’ Paul Conyngham's response: "No worries, I'm a data analyst. I'll figure this out with ChatGPT." 17 years in machine learning. Zero biology background. โ†’ Paid $3,000 to sequence Rosie's tumor DNA at UNSW โ†’ Fed the data into ChatGPT + AlphaFold (Google DeepMind's Nobel Prize-winning protein tool) โ†’ Identified the mutated proteins driving the cancer โ†’ Matched them to drug targets โ†’ Condensed months of analysis into a half-page mRNA vaccine formula Associate Professor Martin Smith watched in disbelief: "Paul was relentless. He called and told me he'd analyzed the data, found mutations, used AlphaFold to find the mutated proteins, identified targets, and matched them to drugs. I'm like woah, that's crazy!" Then came the real enemy. Not the cancer. The paperwork. โ†’ Ethics approval required before a single injection โ†’ Conyngham spent 3 months writing a 100-page application โ†’ Two hours every evening after work โ†’ Red tape was harder than building the actual vaccine Finally approved. He drove 10 hours for Rosie's first injection. December 2025. One week later, the tumor started shrinking. โ†’ Tumor shrank 75% within one month โ†’ Coat got glossy again โ†’ January 2026: Rosie spotted a rabbit at the dog park and jumped the fence to chase it Martin Smith's question that should be on the front page of every medical journal: "It raises the question if we can do this for a dog, why aren't we rolling this out to all humans with cancer?" This isn't a cure. Conyngham is already designing a second vaccine for a tumor that didn't respond. But here's what just happened: One data engineer. A $20/month ChatGPT subscription. $3,000 in DNA sequencing. Produced the world's first personalized cancer vaccine ever designed for a dog, the same mRNA technology Moderna and Merck are spending billions to bring to humans. The bottleneck was never biology. It was access. AI just removed it.

4 in 5 young Australians think theyโ€™ll be worse off than their parents. But every generation gets a different kind of hard and a choice about stewardship, fear, and the future. A perspective worth hearing ๐Ÿ‘‡ youtu.be/iFvye-zlDmM #PersonalFinance #Faith #Australia

That line from Zig Ziglar's book "See You at the Top" perfectly sums up affiliate marketing. Not the hype version. ๐—ง๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐—น ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐˜€๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป. At its core, the affiliate world runs on one simple principle: Help people get what they want. Affiliates do it by finding products that solve real problems and putting those solutions in front of the right audience. Affiliate managers do it by supporting partners, answering questions, fixing tracking issues, and helping affiliates succeed. Program owners do it by creating offers that genuinely help customers while giving partners a fair way to earn. Different roles. Same mission. Helping someone move one step closer to something they need. A better tool. A better process. A better result. The best affiliates understand this. They are not chasing commissions. They are chasing alignment. When the offer helps the customerโ€ฆ When the affiliate earns for connecting the dotsโ€ฆ When the program owner gains a new customerโ€ฆ ๐—˜๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐˜†๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ฒ ๐˜„๐—ถ๐—ป๐˜€. That is the quiet engine behind the entire affiliate ecosystem. So if you are an affiliateโ€ฆ An affiliate managerโ€ฆ Or running an affiliate programโ€ฆ Keep this in mind. That simple idea has been working since 1975. And it still works today! ๐—”๐—จ #AffiliateMarketing #Affiliates #AffiliateProgram
