I stopped prioritizing weight-loss this past month, I got myself into a MUCH better place mentally; and even though I struggled as much as I did this past couple months, knowing I could have done WAY better; I also know I’m putting myself in a position to succeed long-term on this journey and finding the balance that allows me to thrive in both physical and mental health. @tyromper Because we understand the value of standing on your own two feet. The job search is being done wrong if those numbers are even 25% correct. If he isn’t registered on INDEED and other sources he is wasting postage. He needs to get help looking for work.

I don't understand the boomers that hoard all their wealth from their kids. I have a good buddy that's struggling. Married with a few kids. He's smart. Graduated university with great grades, got hired by a good company, & did everything "right." He got laid off over a year ago & told me he's sent 10,000 resumes in with no job offerings..... He's working side gigs but his family is stressed. His folks are retired & in their 70's. His dad recently told him he's got north of 15 million invested!!! My buddy said he didn't say anything & didn't want to be disrespectful but it perplexed him. Why wait until you die to gift it to your kids?! It's worth more now helping out in my opinion that in 20 years when you die & you give 25 million to a 55 year old that's also then likely set & not stressed. You can gift like what 16k a year tax free too. It's their money, & when my folks sat my sister & I down for the inheritance talk we both said we don't want/expect anything you raised us well so do you!!!! But, I guarantee if I was in this guys shoes my folks would offer help. I don't understand the logic not to.

Y’all… I don’t even know how to say this without sounding crazy, but I’m breaking down over here 😞 I’m 20, an only child, and my mom still sleeps in my bed almost every night. For the past year I’ve been venting about it and nothing changes. We’re in a two-bedroom apartment, my dad snores like a damn chainsaw, so she “has no choice” but to crash with me. I’m a guy trying to grow up and I have zero privacy. The bathroom is literally the only place I can be alone. I get home from late classes exhausted, just wanting to chill in my own room, but she’s already tucked in by 9:30. Phone too bright? “Turn it off.” TV on? Big sigh and “We don’t live in the bed!” If I don’t follow her 7 a.m. work schedule I’m “disrespectful.” She demands stuff in MY room but never says a word to my dad. Then comes the guilt trip: “I pay the bills here,” “My back hurts,” “You don’t understand how tired I am.” I love her so much it hurts, but I feel so trapped and lonely in my own home. I’ve tried talking, boundaries, sleeping on the couch.... everything. She just gets emotional and climbs back in like it’s normal. I’m 20 and I can’t even have my own bed. I feel like I’m suffocating. I’m not trying to be ungrateful… I just want some space to breathe. Some privacy. Some peace. What do I do? I’m honestly losing it.

I'm curious about something. Why do people put cameras inside their home? Other than babysitting. Which i think it's a great idea to have coverage. But why do others who dont have small kids do it? I just watched these videos of cameras inside their homes, and there is stuff that I do not want to see or can be explained. Doesn't this ever trip people out? Have you ever had an "experience" in your home?

We had a new addition to the family last night. It's a baby boy/bull. Mother is doing fine and resting nicely in the pasture. This is the first of about a dozen we should have this year. Do you think Spot would be a good name?

A very interesting short story: AM I THE A-HOLE for accepting a property gift from my mom even though she won't include my boyfriend? I'm 30F and my mom owns a rental property in Sacramento worth around $400k. She's been saying for years she wants to give it to me and she's finally ready to transfer it. The catch is she wants it in my name only and wants me to sign something that keeps it separate from any future marriage. I've been with my boyfriend (33M) for 3 years. We're not engaged but we've talked about marriage. When I told him about the property he got excited and started talking about selling it and using the money for a bigger place for us. I explained my mom wants it just in my name and he lost it. Said it's clear my mom doesn't see him as part of my future and that by accepting these conditions I'm agreeing with her. He wants me to turn down the gift. My sister called me crying saying I'd be insane to give up $400k of property because my boyfriend is throwing a tantrum. My dad says if my boyfriend really loved me he'd want me to have it regardless of whose name it's in. My boyfriend is barely speaking to me. He says his parents would never treat me this way and that accepting the gift means I'm choosing my mom over him. He thinks the fact that I'm even considering taking it shows I don't see a future with him. I told him we're not even engaged yet so I don't understand why he thinks he's entitled to property my mom is giving ME. He said that comment proved his point and he's been staying at his friend's place for the last three days. My mom said if I don't accept it now she's going to sell it instead. So I either take it with her conditions or lose it completely. Am I the a-hole for accepting the property even though my boyfriend thinks it means I don't trust him or see him as my partner?

@Outspoken_Sam Really? This is a 1st world problem. I would say negative things, but others have probably beat me to it.

Question: Do you judge people for living in a trailer? 😅 My husband and I are thinking about buying some land and putting a double wide on it. But I'm not gonna lie... the stigma of living in a trailer is definitely in the back of my mind. I don't tend to care what people think for the most part, but this is something that gets me.
