This is so beyond stupid. The Dodgers $8.35 billion TV deal is a major advantage, but the truth is that contract was 100% earned. Thank Walter O'Malley for having the vision to move the Dodgers to the second largest market in America. Thank Vin Scully for being the greatest sports broadcaster to ever live. Thank Sandy Koufax, Tommy Lasorda, Fernando Valenzuela, and so many other Dodgers that captured the imagination of millions and millions of fans. Most of all thank a dedicated fanbase that fell in love with a team and has passionately supported them. That deal wasn't a hand out. The Dodgers earned every single penny of that deal.

Blythe CA – CHP Investigating Fatal Rollover Crash at 20th Ave and Rannells BlvdThe crash occurred at approximately 4:24 p.m. at 20th Avenue and South Rannells Boulevard, where the vehicle left the roadway and ended up submerged in a ditch. Blythe, CA – At least one person was killed after a vehicle crashed into a waterway off 20th Avenue late Friday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol. (chp.ca.gov) The crash occurred at approximately 4:24 p.m. at 20th Avenue and South Rannells Boulevard, where the vehicle left the roadway and ended up submerged in a ditch. According to CHP logs, the vehicle rolled and came to rest roughly 16 feet down in a waterway. Other vehicles reportedly stopped at the scene shortly after the crash, and responding units discovered that the submerged vehicle contained bodies inside. Authorities confirmed at least one fatality at 5:19 p.m., when the incident was reclassified as a fatal crash. The number of victims inside the vehicle has not yet been officially disclosed, and no arrests have been reported. The cause of the crash remains unknown, and investigators have not yet determined what led to the vehicle leaving the roadway and entering the waterway. Emergency personnel responded swiftly, with CAL FIRE notified within minutes and the coroner advised shortly after. A dive team from La Paz County was requested, with an estimated arrival time of about one hour, though some dive resources were not expected until the following day. The crash caused significant activity in the area as emergency crews worked to access the submerged vehicle and coordinate recovery operations. The incident remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol. Drivers using rural and desert-area roads—such as those surrounding the Blythe area—are encouraged to use extra caution, especially in places where lighting, shoulders, or barriers may be limited.
