She did it AGAIN!!!! Idk how @JenniferSey keeps doing it but she does.
I’m definitely not crying over this one. My eyes just leak like this sometimes.
Happy #InternationalWomensDay
To all the women being forgotten about. Except by a few of us.

BOOTS DMS
For the 1970s/80s look, it’s got to be Boots DMS.
Whether you’re marching, forced marching, for drill, assault courses, exercise or war and not forgetting running BFT’s, yes, we did everything in them. Like we had a choice!!
Once they were worn in and the blisters were all gone, they were like wearing slippers.
All weather, one size fits all, multipurpose BFT and CFT, assault course wonder boots. Army foot covering for the use of. The DMS boot with puttees! BFT specials, we ran and marched in them for miles and miles, in all weathers. And rumour had it that you could run faster if they were polished…or so my platoon Sergeant said!!!
What really used to make me angry though is when you’d been running all day in them, in all weathers, to then be told, ‘Good work today lads, don’t forget let’s see some bull on those toe caps for tomorrow morning's muster parade.’ What? Then the next morning, ‘Those boots are minging, Ward, need some more work, parade at the guard room at 10pm. FFS.
The other downside of wearing DMS boots was wearing those puttees. Puttees were a relic of the British Army in India. Oh, the joys of unravelling puttees flapping behind you on a BFT.
And then one day in 1983, just like that, they were replaced with Combat Boot High Leg. Goodbye old DMS boots, shit, my blisters are starting to come back, and my feet are having flashbacks!!

@salltweets My hysterectomy in July didn’t make me any less of a woman, and removed the cancer in my womb. Was I supposed to refuse to have the life saving operation just to keep some idiots happy that I would still be a woman🤷🏼🧡🤷🏼

This is hands down the most superb RN Christmas video I have ever seen. It speaks to the sacrifices sailors have made at sea, and the risks they face daily far from home and loved ones to keep us all safe.

Big day today - My first post treatment mammogram and when I find out of if I am finally cancer free 🙏🩷 I’ve said a prayer to Saint Agatha - she is the Patron Saint of breast cancer and rape victims and survivors. I’m surprised more of us haven’t heard of her before 1/3
