[🟢] NEW: It is worth noting that Klopp’s own team also wasn’t built overnight and was the product of around five windows. This is partly why Liverpool still back Arne Slot and believe a full rebuild under him is yet to take place. Hughes remains committed to that task. The fact Hughes and FSG’s CEO of football Michael Edwards are both out of contract at the same time in 2027, along with Slot, presents a challenge for FSG. Liverpool’s current strategy has been built on Edwards’ player trading, which may also require some senior player exits moving forward. The plan is to have a stable summer as far as any senior executive restructuring is concerned and an active one in relation to trading led by Hughes. Devastating result. But THAT was a performance, by far the most proud I’ve been of the team all season. We’ve been critical of Slot & the team this season, but tonight we should all be proud of them. We gave it everything, dominated the best team in the world and on another night we’d have knocked them out and had another magical night in Anfield. A difficult season for many reasons. But tonight was a statement. We’re not going anywhere. We’ll be back next season. #LFC

Tonight was one of Liverpool's better performances in what has been a difficult season, but it also underlined everything that is needed to bring this team back to the summit PSG occupy. The key question is whether all those solutions are transfer-based. youtube.com/watch?v=uxZhkJ…

@eddiegibbs I withdrew my gratitude. And gave it to Klopp. This man is a fraud. A pass off. A joker. Need gone immediately. Along with Hughes and Edwards. Pathetic lot. Spent $500 million for this? Shame

‼️ Time’s Up for Slot, It Already Was Gratitude has its place in football, but it cannot be allowed to cloud judgement. Arne Slot had his moment, and he had his backing, but this season has stripped away any illusion of progress. This talk of transition feels like a convenient shield. Transition to what, exactly? There is no clear identity here, no discernible pattern, no attacking thrust, no defensive assurance. Liverpool meander through games without purpose, a side neither evolving nor responding, simply existing in a fog of uncertainty. The spin has already begun, both mainstream and patch journalists alike now softening the failure, dressing it up as part of a longer journey or a grand master plan. But this isn’t growth, it’s regression. Calling it anything else insults the evidence laid bare week after week. This isn’t a club built to accept mediocrity. The standards demand more, the history demands more, and the present reality falls well short. Ahead of the Merseyside Derby, a decision should be made, a decision we already know won’t be. Why is sentiment still being allowed to linger? Slot should go, and he should go now.

PSG deservedly through but Liverpool gave everything tonight and if they’d scored when on top, who knows? Still, that was a performance fans can get behind and, unlike many of them this season, suggested something is being built during this season. Key now to finish it strongly.

FT: #LFC 0 PSG 2 (0-4 on agg): Liverpool's Champions League dream is over after Dembele's double at Anfield. Slot's side showed plenty of fight but ultimately beaten by much better team. Hosts left to rue not taking their chances when game was goalless. Ekitike injury big worry.

@eddiegibbs The players are quality. It's obvious to the world that the coaching crew is rotten. I can't be bothered anymore. If the owners feel the circus needs to go on, so be it. Won't be losing sleep. People have bought the lies Edwards, Hughes and Slot sold. Rot continues

⚽️ Anfield Roared, Liverpool Fell Short #LFC 0-2 #PSG | #UCL #ChampionsLeague Anfield gave them everything, the noise surged, belief flickered, and for a while Liverpool clung to the idea that they were still in the fight. Then Dembélé struck, and the illusion dissolved. This was not a collapse born of indifference, the effort was there, the will was evident. What was missing was quality, composure, and clarity. Too often the ball was treated carelessly, possession squandered, rhythm lost. In midfield, Gravenberch and Mac Allister laboured through the contest, unable to control tempo or resist transition, leaving Liverpool exposed to a Paris side content to wait, absorb, and punish. And punish they did. PSG played with the calm of a side who understood the script. They allowed Liverpool the ball in harmless places, invited pressure, then struck when space appeared. It was measured, it was ruthless, and over two legs it was deserved. There are deeper concerns here. The structure is a mess, the ideas unclear, and the persistence with a midfield that neither protects nor progresses raises serious questions for Arne Slot. Around that, injuries mount, with Hugo Ekitike now a significant worry, compounding an already fragile campaign. Even Mohamed Salah, summoned to inspire, looked a shadow of his usual self, his touch loose, his influence fleeting. So Liverpool are out, 2-0 on the night, a distant second best across the tie, and left to confront the truth of a season that has unravelled into disappointment. The only path to some salvation remains through the league, chasing qualification, clinging to relevance, and preparing for a rebuild that feels both necessary and immense. Everton next, quality and determination required in equal measure.

Can’t fault the boys today most of them played their hearts out specially 2nd half & we can be at peace with that. Arne Slot & his group of clown coaches could have setup better in first leg and took it seriously to help give us a better chance in 2nd leg. He is lost. Just finish top 5 & depart please.

A colossal mistake: One of Israel’s closest European allies has just surrendered to the globalist left’s pressure. Giorgia Meloni, who once positioned herself as a strong friend of Israel, has shamefully suspended the automatic renewal of the defense agreement with the Jewish State. In a pathetic display of weakness, Italian politics has chosen cheap leftist appeasement over truth, loyalty, and strategic reality. This betrayal will not be forgotten. When Israel needed real allies the most, Meloni folded like a cheap suit under the weight of globalist left-wing pressure. Political expediency has triumphed over principle — and history will remember exactly who stabbed Israel in the back at the moment of truth.
