@VinSharma95 @BlueAtHeart4 He was a 100 pt player once in 9 years but that is the claim to fame. He is barely a pt/gm this year. Saying he is a 100 pt player, implies it is yearly or or at least multiple times.

@BlueAtHeart4 You still have other players step up. Still had Tavares, Knies, McMann, Laughton (before they were traded), McCabe among others. Having Mitchy in that line-up helps significantly especially a 100 point player

@_Grunky_ Because we let Marner walk for nothing at a time when a raising cap dissuades players from going to FA. So the team has a severe talent gap to make up for with very little chance of doing so without trading a current roster player or having your own draft pick to make a pick.

A William Nylander trade breaks down into 3 categories for me: 1) Contenders(ish) who need an upgrade ie. Washington and Carolina 2) Fringe/coming up teams who need difference maker ie. Seattle, San Jose, NJ 3) Team who will trade defense for offense ie. Anaheim, NYI

@LeafsUpdates21 The suggestion is to pay a player we use as a 4th line player $3-3.5 mil? That doesn’t make any sense.

Need to get him done. He’s had such a big impact since coming here. Obviously easier said than done but I think a sweet spot lies between a 3-4 year term at $3M-$3.5M per. Need to get him some more ice time in the Top-9. Will only make him more impactful.
