It's painful, but that's the cost of unhealthy growth. You're better off being a disciplined company from the start and growing at the pace that your company can *healthily* support.

You'll have to eventually take the pain to raise capital by selling assets, cut costs to improve profitability, or shrink your customer base to reduce underwriting leverage.

This may seem obvious to insurance nerds, but there are only three financial levers that you can pull to grow a carrier in the insurance industry: 1) Operating Leverage, 2) Underwriting Leverage, and 3) Financial Leverage.
