@PIaukea So you have absolutely nothing and are just making stuff up. I’d suggest you get outside; it is a nice day. Spend some time with family if you have it. It is good news that MN has amazing life expectancy and a ton big corporate HQs. The world is better when you live in reality.

@johnerent Saying Target is leaving and providing a public statement from Target saying they are leaving are two different things. Are you not able to distinguish between the two? I posted, and then reposted what I said.

@johnerent No comment on any of the other Minnesota Fortune 500 issues? You just really want to focus on the fact that even though Target is experiencing rapid revenue declines and buying out leases that they never publicly stated they are leaving the state.

@PIaukea You said that Target is leaving and that is public knowledge. That is the only question now. Where is the proof of that?

@PIaukea The article says revenues are declining due to Trump’s tariffs. I believe in capitalism, not socialist protectionism. But all that is beside the point. You said that Target is leaving and that is public knowledge. That is the only question now. Where is the proof of that?

@johnerent Yes. It talks about the declining revenue of Minnesota Fortune 500 companies from 2024-2025. It's even worse from 2025-2026. Did you read how it called out people like you touting these companies? Minnesota is trending downwards in every metric.

@PIaukea Did you read the article? It said no Fortune 500 companies are leaving Minnesota. Nothing about Target leaving. You are either lying or delusional.

@PIaukea You said that it is “public information” that “Target is leaving” the state. What is that public information from the company? I’m on the edge of my seat!

@PIaukea Wow, you must have some great insider sources sharing material non-public information about these corporations! Or more likely, the voices in your head are telling you that Target is moving its headquarters out of Minnesota. Is Best Buy in the room with us right now? 😂

@johnerent Lived here all my life champ. Target is leaving, Best Buy is on life support. UnitedHealth could be destroyed in one day by politics. Medtronic is going through significant restructuring and job cuts. General Mills is going through a transition to stop the bleeding. I can go on

@PIaukea Completely false. We have more Fortune 500 companies headquarters than any other state. Not sure what fever dream you are living in.

@tippett_wendy @country_raized I see it the opposite way. We are all in this together, and Twin Cities taxes support those small towns and rural areas, not the other way around. Small towns are net beneficiaries of all the economic activity in the metro. Photo credit: off the end of my dock on the Iron Range.

@Dontcallmejunor That’s OK. I’ll stick to MN, where more Fortune 500 companies per capita have chosen to headquarter than any other state, providing loads of high-paying jobs. Exceptional median income to cost of living ratio. Unmatched quality of life!

@ThxTom90228 If you knew how to read, you’d notice this has nothing to do with with being rich. It is about life expectancy by county per federal government data.

In 1826, a ream of 500 sheets of paper cost about $5. With average wages near five cents an hour, the time price was 100 hours. Paper was precious. Today, 500 higher-quality sheets sell for $7.99 at Staples. With average wages around $36.86 an hour, the time price is just 13 minutes. humanprogress.org/two-centuries-…
