@drjohnm @djc795 @f2harrell @CMichaelGibson @GreggWStone @stephensenn Time to first event definitely has its flaws, but some trials of a treatment strategy will have a large number of cross-overs after 1 or more events. And many patients/clinicians would not agree to randomization if they perceive no bailout option.

Curious question for trial people -- why not use total events more than time to first event? I am asking because total events will produce more events. And hence more power. But most CV trials are first event @djc795 @f2harrell @CMichaelGibson @GreggWStone @stephensenn
