@OldStationSt @BlackSabbath I made a pilgrimage to the Fleur de Lys pub near to Henley yesterday - the source of the pies that were sold at Alex's Pie Stand when Sabbath used to play at The Crown. The stand was in the very spot that Tokyo Inns now use as a car park.

Are Birmingham Council & civic leaders REALLY going to let @BlackSabbath say goodbye on July 5th without announcing any sort of rescue for The Crown? Will they let Toyoko Inns string the city along & use it as a car park for 3 more years?! 🤦🏼‍♂️ A civic failure on every level.

16,000 people running past the birthplace of Black Sabbath & Heavy Metal during the Birmingham Half & 10k. And The Crown looks like this. @BrumLeader @RichParkerLab it's been almost 11 years. How much longer do we have to wait for Toyoko Inns to let it rot? CPO The Crown!

@johnmostyn Just been informed it was The Crown on Corporation Street. Silly city having two closed historic pubs with the same name. Will still post them tomorrow though as they're great.

@PaulFulford You are blessed! An annoying health condition means that I have to give up bacon entirely. I have replaced it in my diet with kippers but not in a sandwich. Count your blessings :)

Yes to the reigning in and the table legs . ! At least though they seem to have had a culture of giving back some of the obscene amount of money they had amassed - whether to secure a place in heaven or because of a genuine awareness of the damage that unequal societies causes . Xxx

It seems to me that the very rich of the world are a liability . They need to take a leaf out of the Victorian multi millionaires book and start giving back a bit . What do you think ? X

@Ktphotouk PS it wasn't a 'swingers club' it faked that it was but really it was a brothel. Didn't last long like that and the infamous armed raid by thieves which saw people running out in various states of undress was the talk of the area for some time.
