@HalifaxBank It’s not the first time this has happened though is it? It happened the end of January as well so your platitudes of ensuring “this doesn’t happen again” are meaningless. I saw acc details, names, where people work and national insurance numbers! Not good enough!

On 12 March, a limited number of customers using our app may have briefly seen transactions that weren't theirs due to an internal IT change. We’re very sorry this happened. No action is needed and there was no account security issue.

Hello @HalifaxBank can you let me know why when I logged into my app this morning, I was able to see someone else’s acc and transactions inc their child benefit payments etc? I did try to call you but couldn’t get through hence the X post

@k9cbw @richardbrunning They have no choice with mine but they have made it as difficult as possible to hand it back. And loads of extra hidden charges. I don’t care though, I just want rid. Going elsewhere this time.

@jojimojo @richardbrunning Exactly. They depreciate more than was first estimated. Porsche Taycans have performed extremely badly. Porsche won’t let you trade one in unless you buy another EV. You can’t trade a Taycan in for a 911. They must be attractive proposition as a used car though.

Charger installed today, EV arrives Friday. Put £80 petrol in the Jag on Saturday to do less than 400 miles. £80 into the ID7 Touring gets me more than 4000.

@k9cbw @richardbrunning I got my car on pcp. The value depreciated so much that if we were to take finance on the existing amount at the end of the contract, we would be taking out nearly £6k more than the car is worth. As it is it’s going back to them next week with nothing further to pay 🤷🏼‍♀️

@richardbrunning The car manufacturer or finance company NEVER voluntarily takes a hit on your behalf. The monthly payments are calculated on the predicted depreciation divided by the number of months, then they add some profit for themselves.

@HalifaxBank hello logging into my app this morning I can see my bank balance but someone else’s transactions. When I log out or reload it shows me a new persons transactions and the same thing again when I refresh. I’ve had several peoples accounts this morning

@anniemdudu @MartinSLewis I took screenshots as proof in case they denied anything or tried to brush it under the carpet. I would NEVER post them publicly. That’s disgusting! They’re obviously part of the same bank, what if someone did that to them?? 🤬

@MartinSLewis It was mentioned on the BBC this morning that some people actually posted screen shots of the other peoples confidential bank details on social media ! I can't believe how stupid and irresponsible some people can be.

Do you use the Lloyds, Bank of Scotland or Halifax apps? People have been messsaging me this morning of being shown other peoples transactions. I want to see how widespread this is. Has it happened to you. If so a) What are you seeing? Which app. b) If it is someone elses transactions does it give any of their details too (name, account number etc)?

@MartinSLewis Yes, I also have taken screenshots as proof. If there are transfers to someone else’s account you can see their account number and sort code. Also benefit payments with NI no’s as a reference.

@HalifaxBank I get that it’s safe& money can’t be touched but I’ve learnt all about a lady from Warrington, that gets DWP payments, is paid by the council so has a civil servants job, has children & learnt several other things about her. Maybe take the app down.

@daisiecarew @HalifaxBank I’m having exactly the same issue. It scared the crap out of me! Surely this is a really serious data protection issue. I can see other peoples bank account details if a transfer has been made to them from this persons account! I’ve screenshot as evidence.
