@g__j @AntiEVidiots @OctopusEnergy Would like to get a heat pump eventually but last I checked, Octopus don’t install them in the north of Scotland. Any plans to change this?
English

Not a study, not a survey - but the actual live data from every @OctopusEnergy Cosy heat pump installed in real homes is now online.
And it shows that over 80% of Cosy heat pumps were cheaper to run than a gas boiler over the last year and delivered a COP of 3.7 over the whole year (about 4.3x more efficient than a gas boiler)
There’s so much disinformation from fossil fuel lobbyists on heat pumps - and anecdote based on bad installs or out of date tech - but we hear time and time again how much Octopus customer la love their heat pumps.
Cosy heat pumps can run as hot as a boiler (70C+), can often be installed with no radiator changes and no new insulation, work with microbore piping, can often retain your old hot water tank if you have one.
But so much more - comfort sensors in up to ten rooms, optional remote support and servicing, software updates to literally make your heating better without a visit. Effortlessly working with smart tariffs to save money.
British designed, British manufactured and thousands of great British jobs. Helping insulate Brits from the last gas crisis, this gas crisis and more to come.

Hey Martin, earlier this week we emailed all fixed smart tariff customers - we'll be emailing those on variable smart tariffs soon (and we’re passing the gov't savings on to everyone). If you have any questions, please drop us a DM. 🐙

@EVRobes Hey Alex 👋 We've emailed all fixed Intelligent Octopus Go customers and will be emailing those on the variable version soon (and just for peace of mind, everyone will benefit from the gov't savings). Pop us a DM if you have any other Qs and I'll help 🐙
English

@OctopusEnergy I keep seeing people posting about having received emails giving them exciting news about new EV tariffs…should I be worried I don’t have one? I’m an Intelligent Go customer
English

@worisu8 Hi Martin, I'd like to look into this for you. Leave it with me for now and I'll be in touch tomorrow.
English

@g__j @agile_phil @OctopusEnergy And here I am stuck with a Daikin that you fitted me that I’m sure is oversized, that’s bled me dry for the past 2 winters 😢
English

@PercyDeborah Hi Deborah, I'm genuinely sorry that we haven't gotten it right here. I'm taking a closer look at everything now - I'll be in touch this evening to help.
English

@OctopusEnergy I am still waiting for a manager call back and also response to email sent on 15 March, appalling customer service, being ignored. Can someone please contact me
English

@fergie8 Hey Fergie, that's odd 🤔 I'll pop you a DM now to help with a quote. 🐙
English

@OctopusEnergy hey I have emailed for a fixed rate quote but have received one only for economy 7, which I don’t have ?
English

@GTKaniak Hi there, let me take a look for you and I'll drop you a message shortly.
English

@g__j @OctopusEnergy Love my heat pump, but the installation is not so great; I will need to call Octopus to fix it.

English

@GlenFisher16381 Hey Glen, I'll check in on this for you and make sure we've a plan.
English

@g__j @OctopusEnergy I have a Daikin Altherma 3 and the heat pump is great
The house has been a constant 21-22
but it’s taking forever to sort out a fairly simple problem I’ve had since October when the heating came on
And now it’s getting warmer that problem won’t no be rectified till next winter
English

@OctopusEnergy hi, I’m currently on intelligent octopus (at a discounted loyalty rate) could you please send over a fixed tariff offer? Thanks
English

@janwilson2 Hey Jan, you're always welcome switch from variable to fixed Intelligent Octopus Go. Check the rates here and it'll switch within 24 hours if you click to confirm: octopus.energy/smart/intellig… Pop me a DM if I can help with any questions 🐙

English

@OctopusEnergy I’m on IOG variable and would like to fix, what are my options?
English

@StevenBannell I've just got back to you now and confirmed the tariff switch for you. I'm around in DM's if you've any further Q's. 🐙
English

@OctopusEnergy I promise I’ll stop pestering if you can address this. That link was anew customer. The menu options (models) don’t work. Please just let me know what my fixed options are. I’d like a quote for 1) Daily on peak rate 2) Standing charge 3) Off peak 4) Outgoing rate
English

@Johnmhunt Hi John, the savings from 1st April apply to both fixed and flexible tariffs, so you'll still see a reduction when your new fix begins 16th April. I'll pop you an email now to confirm your new rates. 🐙
English

@Johnmhunt Hi John, sorry to keep you waiting. I've just got back to your email now to help. 🐙
English

@OctopusEnergy I sent an email last week I’m still waiting on a reply. My intelligent tariff runs out soon and I’ve been invited to reapply but the rates are higher. If I click renew now do the new rates apply from end of contract or now?
English

@MichelleDoyle16 Hey Michelle, your smart meter will send us your move-out readings for the old property automatically, but it's good practice to note the readings down before you leave, just in case! 🐙
English

@OctopusEnergy moving house tomorrow, already registered this with yourselves about a month ago. If the old house is on a smart meter, do I still need to provide meter readings?
English

@sscmark The price cut will happen automatically on 1st April, if you plug in your postcode on the Intelligent Octopus Go webpage you'll see the pre and post 1st April rates 🐙
English

@sscmark Hey Mark, if you're on variable IOGO just now, you can switch to ‘fixed’ anytime from here (octopus.energy/smart/intellig…) but it will switch you over within 24 hours of pressing the button. You won't have to connect your car again. 🐙
English

@OctopusEnergy is there a way to fix our IOG tarrif at the 1st April rates?
English

@StevenBannell Hi Steve, I'll send you a DM now to help with this. 🐙
English

@OctopusEnergy I’m trying to get a response. I want to decide whether to fix. When I select view tariff>change tariff, the off peak option isn’t shown, only standing charge & unit rate. How can I choose without this information? I thought you’d emailed customers with info?
English

@cortexrock Hi Steve, I'm on the case for you now and have just dropped you an DM with more info.
English

@cortexrock Sorry about that, Mark. It can get a bit confusing if your current fix is renewing after the new rates come into effect on the 1st April because we’ll also send over new rates for your next tariff options. Not to worry, your current unit rates will drop 3.49p/kWh from 1st April.
English

Hi @OctopusEnergy please sort out your email marketing. I've had two messages in recent days, one saying off-peak Int Go is dropping to 3.49p/kWh, another saying 'from 5.5p/kWh if you fix now' and when I click to confirm, I'm offered 9p/kWh... what's going on?
English

Our CEO @g__j was on Newsnight last night on what's happening in the Strait of Hormuz and what it means for your energy bills. The good news: we buy energy in advance, so most homes are protected - we've got you covered for now. The uncertainty is how long the disruption lasts. But if things stabilise quickly, the effects should be limited.
BBC Newsnight@BBCNewsnight
"The irony is, right now, we're emailing millions of customers saying their energy prices are going to fall..." Greg Jackson, CEO of Octopus Energy, says energy prices could be impacted if disruption in the Strait of Hormuz "is not over quite quickly". #Newsnight
English

@astableford Hey Al, that's right - the gov't reductions are applied for the fixed period on your tariff. 🐙
English

@astableford Hey Al, can you send over your account details via DM please? We can take a look at your options together 🐙

English

@OctopusEnergy I fixed last week on IOG 6month. Now the 12 month fix is back wondering if possible to swap to that? The 6month had exit fees, but the 12 month is actually technically more expensive. But it has the certainty, and kind of offset by the April reduction. Thanks
English

@Cobbler1950 I'll get back to your email now to help get this sorted.
English

@OctopusEnergy Tried to alter my direct debit and wasn't alowed to been there done that got the T shirt ,"Roy" was pretty stupid as despite saying " i couldn't alter my direct debit he didn't know what I wanted
Allso very sarcastic as I was obviously very angry he hoped I was having a good day
English

@colin_starr Hi Colin, I'll email you now to help with this. 🐙
English

@colin_starr Hi Colin, I've checked in and sorted that for you now. I'll pop you an email to confirm. 🐙
English

@OctopusEnergy
Hi, I switched my gas tariff to 12M fixed on 4th March, which I was told would take place immediately. However it’s not showing on my latest bill received on 17th March. Could you check that this new fix is in place for me please? Thank you
