@elonmusk Suggesting that voter ID should be done in a way that doesn't make it harder for some communities to vote than others seems pretty sensible to me.

@RichardACarter2 I read a good quote the other day (can't remember source). To misquote: "The purpose of GAI is to allow wealth to access skill, while removing the ability of skill to access wealth".

Still fascinated by AI rhetorics that proclaim learning creative skills is unfair / undemocratic / uninteresting. Makes sense if the only thing of value is "content". Quote: "The thing is, and it’s been pretty unfair, for millennia, expressing creativity meant mastering craft."

Not giving feedback for funding proposals seems to be very much in vogue right now. Surely your reviewers are making notes, you have some kind of paper trail, maybe some record of performance against criteria? How hard is it to share that?

Universities in England are facing financial uncertainty, and some want tuition fees to rise with inflation. Education Secretary Bridget Phillipson tells #R4Today there are 'no plans' to increase fees, and the Labour government will 'welcome international students'.

CrowdStrike is actively working with customers impacted by a defect found in a single content update for Windows hosts. Mac and Linux hosts are not impacted. This is not a security incident or cyberattack. The issue has been identified, isolated and a fix has been deployed. We refer customers to the support portal for the latest updates and will continue to provide complete and continuous updates on our website. We further recommend organizations ensure they’re communicating with CrowdStrike representatives through official channels. Our team is fully mobilized to ensure the security and stability of CrowdStrike customers.

@EnglidsAway @MiguelDelaney Never going to happen. But... wishful thinking... he's proven he's the greatest at club... could succeeding in international where everyone else has failed cement him as the greatest ever manager overall... might appeal to him? But never going to happen.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 The FA want to appoint Pep Guardiola and are willing to wait for the Spaniard with his Man City contract ending in 2025. That means they could appoint an interim England manager to replace Gareth Southgate. [Via: @MiguelDelaney] 📰

@FilledWithMoney This advice would better delivered in a short form video where a couple stands outside a house and points at some captions, while kind of weirdly dancing a bit.

Savings accounts are paying 5.25%. If you simply put $2,000,000 in one, you can literally make $250k/yr to live on. Why aren’t more people doing this?

@JG_THE @hugorifkind And he should be given credit for winning via a very sensible strategy of risking losing votes to LD/Green (worth -1) in favour of taking votes from potential middle-ground Tory voters (worth +2). 2nd term depends on proving himself to win back LD/G while keeping Tory of course.

Such a welcome change in tone and approach from the last lot. I just hope you can act fast enough to enact change before so many university jobs are lost and /9 much irreparable damage is done.

They have only been in power for a few days, but Labour have already confirmed that they will: ❌ Concrete over the Green Belt ❌ Force government housing targets on communities ❌ Ignore local voices in the planning process Labour thinks that Whitehall knows better than you.

@TiceRichard I agree. But unfortunately we had a referendum about that. The result turned out to be the wrong one. However, we can’t change that now… ever. That’s how referendums work.
